Crime Branch Gwalior Cracks Down on Illegal Gambling Den |Action is being taken by running a campaign against bookies and gamblers in Gwalior district.

Crime Branch Gwalior caught 05 gamblers and the owner of Satkar Guest House who were gambling by putting pressure on win or loss, 4 lakh 20 thousand 130 rupees cash and a deck of cards, two iPhones and two Android mobiles seized |

On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharmveer Singh, IPS, action is being taken by running a campaign against bookies and gamblers in Gwalior district. In this connection, today on 28.06.2024, Crime Branch Gwalior received information from an informer that some people are gathering in room no. 104 of Satkar Guest House under Police Station University area and gambling by betting on win or loss. On the said information, Superintendent of Police Gwalior has sent an additional police officer. Superintendent of Police Mr. Akhilesh Rainwal and ASP Crime Mr. Ayush Gupta (BPS) were directed to form a crime branch team and verify the above information and take action.

In compliance with the instructions of senior officers, under the guidance and leadership of ASP Crime Mr. Ayush Gupta (BPS), police station in-charge Crime Branch Inspector Ajay Singh Panwar along with the crime team took action at the place mentioned by the informer, Satkar Guest House located in City Center. When the police team went to room no. 104 of the guest house, some people were seen gambling with a deck of cards by betting on win or loss. The police team caught 05 people gambling. On the spot, the police team found a total of Rs 4 lakh 20 thousand 130 cash and a deck of cards, two iPhones and two Android mobiles, which were duly seized by the police team and when Satkar Guest House owner Luv Khandelwal was found involved in the above case, he was also caught and action was taken. A case under section 3,4 of Gambling Act was registered in Crime Branch against all the gamblers caught.

  1. Raja Gharon (Valmik) son Jugraj resident near Kartar Hotel, Raksi, Lashkar
  2. Ravi Prakash son Vimal Prakash Koli resident near Gurudwara, Seva Nagar Gwalior
  3. Manol Dholpuria son Darshanlal Valmik resident Akhara Wali Masjid, Raja Ki Mandi Gwalior
  4. Rakesh Batham son Adiram Batham resident near 8 shops Thatipur District Gwalior
  5. Manoj Rajput son Rajendra Singh resident near Kalpi Bridge, CP Colony Murar
  6. Luv Khandelwal son Shiaram resident near Karoli Mata Temple, Mahalgaon Hall, Satkar Guest House, Kailash Vihar Gwalior

Recovered goods:- Rs 4 lakh 20 thousand 130 cash and a deck of cards, two iPhones and two Android mobiles.

Commendable role:- In the above action, Police Station Incharge Crime Branch Inspector Ajay Singh Panwar, Sub Inspector Ramakant Upadhyay, PR Dinesh Rajawat, Constable Sonu Parihar, Shyam Sharma, Saurabh Chauhan, Devvrat Tomar, Gaurav Bhadoria, MR Megha Shrivastava, ASP Crime/CSP Lashkar’s team- PR Makhan Chari, Constable Pushpendra Kumar, Dharamveer Singh 14th Battalion Gwalior, R. Driver Sayed Khan Police Line Gwalior played a commendable role.
