CBI Records Arvind Kejriwal’s Statement in Tihar Jail

Arvind Kejriwal’s statement recorded in Tihar by CBI; arrest possible after remand.

CBI has recorded Arvind Kejriwal’s statement in Tihar Jail but has not arrested him. A remand application has been filed to present him in the court and after that, he can be arrested, because it will be necessary to arrest him for custodial interrogation.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi told the Supreme Court that he is withdrawing his petition pending the Supreme Court. In this petition, he had challenged the High Court’s order of June 21 (ban on bail). Yesterday the High Court’s order to continue the ban on bail has come. For this, he will file a revised petition in the Supreme Court.
