The meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Jhabua MP Gumansingh Damor. After the meeting, a meeting of the District Level Road Safety Committee was organized.

According to the criteria of MORTH, there are six new black spots, which include Kheda Phata (Postation Kalyanpura), between Kalidevi Police Station and Chhapri Phata (Postation Kalyanpura), Rambhapur (Postation Meghnagar), near Dussehra Ground (Postation Thandla), Village Borwa, Gattu Valley, and Kushalgarh. Corrective measures have been taken to reduce vehicle accidents on the Kalyanpura-Petlavad road (Thandala police station) and village Mundat Umra Phalia (Kalyanpura police station).

Instructions were given to compulsorily install speed breakers, indicators, blinkers, etc. at such places.

Besides, instructions were also given to take disciplinary action against driving a two-wheeler without a helmet and driving while talking on a mobile device.

In the year 2023, a total of 10,315 challan actions were taken in the district against those who drove two-wheelers without helmets, drank alcohol, used mobile devices while driving, and did not follow traffic rules during peak hours.

According to the instructions of the Police Headquarters, by conducting a “special awareness campaign” continuously from November 20, 2023, (Jhabua)challan action will be taken against those who do not wear helmets by two-wheeler drivers and seat belts by four-wheeler drivers, and as part of the awareness campaign, rallies, distribution of pamphlets, and traffic chariots. Public awareness messages are being given.

Due to this, the number of vehicle accidents and deaths occurring in the district has decreased compared to last year.

From November 20th to December 25th, a total of 1781 challan proceedings and a Rs 534300 summons fee were taken against those not wearing helmets, and a Rs 244500 summons fee was paid by 489 challans for not using seat belts.

In the year 2023, 379 people were injured and 55 died in a total of 284 vehicle accidents.
The MP said that regarding traffic awareness, traffic awareness camps should be organized in schools and colleges, and students should be motivated to use a vehicle license and helmet and drive as per the prescribed speed.(Jhabua)
During this, Collector Ms. Tanvi Hooda, Superintendent of Police Agam Jain, District Panchayat President Mrs. Saunal Bhabar, and officers and public representatives of all the departments were present.
