After a long wait in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s cabinet was expanded on Monday, in which 28 ministers took oaths. This time, while many veterans have been dropped from the cabinet, there are many names who have been made ministers for the first time, many of which are surprising.

In fact, the BJP has included the age factor along with caste equations in its cabinet expansion. The BJP has given a chance to some old faces while others have become ministers for the first time in the state. Among them is Prahlad Patel, who has been a minister in the central government but has been made a minister for the first time in the state. Apart from this, former state president and MP from Jabalpur Rakesh Singh has also been included in the cabinet, while Vishwas Sarang from Bhopal has been made the Parliamentary Affairs Minister.

Pradhuman Singh Tomar was seen bowing at the feet of Scindia as soon as he became minister for the third time.

In view of the Lok Sabha elections of Prime Minister and Home Minister Modi-Shah, the inclination of the Bharatiya Janata Party towards tribals, maintaining hold on the tribal vote bank, and securing Lok Sabha seats from tribal areas is also being seen. Petlawad MLA of Jhabua district, Ms. Nirmala Bhuria, got her name in politics from her father, a former MP. Politics has been inherited from Dilip Singh Bhuria.

Ms. Bhuria is a graduate and has been doing agricultural work. Nirmala Bhuria was elected from the Petlawad Assembly seat of Jhabua district for the first time in 1983, after which she was elected MLA for the fifth time in 1998, 2004, 2013, and 2023. Ms. Nirmala Bhuria once got the opportunity to work as the Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare in the state in 2008.

Before this, Nagar Singh Chauhan was elected MLA in 2003, 2008, 2013, and now in 2023. Nagar Singh is an educated youth and a farmer. Nagar Singh Chauhan currently holds the post of State Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party; he has also been included in the Cabinet as a Cabinet Minister for the first time. His induction into the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet was celebrated with fireworks in his home district.
