Combing patrolling for the purpose of maintaining law and order in view of Lok Sabha elections.

During combing patrol, the police took action against more than two hundred and fifty miscreants including liquor and illegal weapons, bookies and absconding warrants.

During combing patrolling, Gwalior Police arrested a total of 202 warrantees including 125 permanent and 77 arrestees and checked 311 goons and history-sheeters in various police stations of the district.

45 persons involved in smuggling of illegal liquor, 03 bookies who were betting, and 01 absconding accused along with 10 illegal weapons in 10 cases of illegal weapons have been arrested and action has been taken.

During combing patrol, miscreants were caught with one 315 bore pistol each with 03 live rounds in Maharajpura, Gwalior, Jhansi Road police station and one sharp knife in Maharajpura and two sharp knives in Inderganj. In the rural police stations of Dabra City, Pichor, Bhitarwar and Mohana, miscreants were caught with one pistol each of 315 bore and 06 live rounds.

Bureau Chif Sandeep Shukla | Gwalior MP | Keeping in view the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024 and with the aim of maintaining law and order in the district and tightening the noose on habitual criminals, on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharamveer Singh, BHP, in Gwalior district on the intervening night of 31.03.2024 and 01.04.2024. Combing patrolling was carried out from evening till late night in the police station areas of the city and rural areas. During this, Additional Superintendent of Police City (North) Mr. Shiaz KM, BHP, Additional Superintendent of Police City (West) Mr. Gajendra Vardhaman, Additional Superintendent of Police City (Central) Mr. Akhilesh Renwal and Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Mr. Niranjan Sharma and Gwalior Police. All the gazetted officers of May Police Force along with their subordinate police station in-charges conducted combing patrolling in Gwalior city and rural areas. Before combing patrolling, section wise police force was assembled at different places and the force was briefed by gazetted officers, after which they were sent for combing patrolling in different areas. On this occasion, the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior himself took stock of the combing patrolling in the city and the police officers were directed to take effective action. The combing patrolling of Gwalior Police has created panic among the miscreants of the district. Gwalior Police officers along with subordinate police station forces conducted foot patrolling in their respective areas. During this time, along with checking absconding criminals, warrant officers, goons, history-sheeter criminals, they also checked bank ATMs, lodges and dhabas. For this patrolling, police officers formed teams and patrolled the identified sensitive areas in the city and rural areas.

During this period a total of 125 permanent warrants, 77 arrest warrants were served in Gwalior district, along with 164 goons and 147 history-sheeters were checked, along with this, 45 persons smuggling illicit liquor, 03 bookies involved in betting and 10 persons carrying illegal weapons were arrested. Action was taken against the accused in the cases. Along with this, one absconding criminal was also caught.

During this campaign, police teams took preventive action against many active criminals and also updated the records of goons and history-sheeters. The police roamed the streets and neighborhoods of the city and rural areas and arrested goons and miscreants. This combing patrol was conducted by the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior, with the aim of maintaining law and order in the district in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Police teams visited the houses of goons and miscreants and took information about them. During checking, every goon and miscreant were also warned that if they are found involved in any criminal activities, strict action will be taken against them. The accused who were released from jail were also checked. This action taken by Gwalior Police with the aim of controlling crime and maintaining law and order will continue in future also.
