Indore Geetkar Damodar Virmal, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Ashok Varnwal and Collector Mr. Ashish Singh reached the farmers’ fields today. He saw the innovations being made by farmers under modern farming. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Varnwal and Collector Mr. Singh reached village Machal located on Dhar Road today. He reached the farm of progressive farmer Shri Gajanan Khadiwala and saw the cultivation of new varieties of wheat. After discussing with the farmers, he got information about the new variety. Got to know about its production and productivity. It was told that farmers are greatly benefited by sowing new varieties of wheat. More production is achieved at less cost. Shri Varnwal directed the Agriculture Department officials present there to encourage the sowing of new varieties of wheat. Farmers should try to sow as many new varieties as possible. He also directed that field visits should be conducted to share the latest information with the farmers.
