Indore Tahir Kamaal Siddiqui A campaign is being run to completely free Indore, the cleanest city of the country, from child beggars. Important decisions have been taken by Collector Ashish Singh to make this campaign more effective and faster. It has been decided that citizens who provide information about children engaged in begging in Indore will be given cash reward. WhatsApp number 9691729017 has been issued to give information about children involved in child begging. Child begging will also be monitored at intersections through CCTV cameras. TL meeting was held in the Collector’s office here today under the chairmanship of Collector Ashish Singh. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Siddharth Jain, Additional Collector Gaurav Bainal, Roshan Rai and Rajendra Raghuvanshi and other officials were present in the meeting. It was told in the meeting that any citizen can give information about child begging including photo and location through the issued WhatsApp number 9691729017.

If the information is found correct, a reward of Rs 1,000 will also be given to the concerned citizen. Besides, citizens who give authentic information more than once will also be honored separately. Child begging will be monitored at intersections through CCTV cameras. It was told that for this, employees of Women and Child Development Department will sit in AICTSL and Police Control Room and keep vigil. If child begging behavior is observed then the rescue team will be informed by them. The teams will immediately reach the spot and do rescue work. Strict action will be taken against the culprits. It was told that so far an FIR has been lodged against three culprits for forcing children to beg. 17 children have been rescued under the campaign. This campaign is continuing continuously.
