Murar police station arrested two vicious vehicle thieves along with 10 stolen splendor motorcycles

Gwalior (Pavan Paruthi) Date: January 6, 2024. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior, Mr. Rajesh Singh Chandel (BJP), effective action is being taken to arrest vehicle thieves and criminals in Gwalior district. In line with the above instructions, Additional Superintendent of Police City (East/Crime/Traffic) Shri Hrishikesh Meena, BHP, instructed police station in-charge Murar to develop an informer system to catch the thieves by recovering the stolen vehicles from the police station area.

On January 5, 2024, information was received through an informant that two vicious vehicle thieves were trying to sell the stolen motorcycle at the MH intersection under the Murar police station area. According to the above information, a team from Murar police station was sent to verify the informer’s information and take action.

In compliance with the instructions of senior officers, under the able guidance of CSP Murar Mr. Rajeev Jangle, a police team was sent by police station in-charge Murar Inspector Madan Mohan Malviya to the MH intersection, the place mentioned by the informer. The police team saw two suspicious boys standing with a splendor motorcycle at the MH intersection. Seeing the police team, they started the motorcycle and tried to run away, but the police team surrounded and caught both suspects along with the motorcycle. On asking his name and address, he told him to be a resident of Huravali Gwalior and village Banauli police station Utila.

When interrogated regarding the motorcycle, he tried to mislead the police team, but when interrogated intelligently, he told them that the said motorcycle, Splendor Pro, was stolen from the vegetable market in Murar near Ganesh temple. After the police team thoroughly interrogated both vehicle thieves, they admitted to stealing four Splendor motor cycles from the Murar police station area and six Splendor motor cycles from the Inderganj police station area.

At the instance of the thieves caught by the police team, 10 stolen Splendor motorcycles were recovered. All the above-mentioned motorcycles were stolen within about a month by the vicious vehicle thieves. The said thieves have mostly stolen the motorcycles of Hero Splendor Company from the court premises and surrounding area of Inderganj police station and Murar Bazaar of Murar police station area. Three cases of theft and one case of gambling have been registered against one of the vicious vehicle thieves caught at Murar police station.

Information is being taken regarding the other criminal records of the accused. Among the arrested accused, one was also wanted in the murder of a retired sub-inspector in the Bahodapur police station area. The arrested accused will be taken on police remand and interrogated in detail in connection with other theft incidents in the district.

The said stolen four motor cycles were duly seized by the police under IPC 02/24, IPC 05/24, IPC 995/23, and IPC 955/23, Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code, and six motorcycles were duly seized by IPC 605 of police station Inderganj. Police station Inderganj was informed due to FIR/23, FIR 582/23, FIR 586/23, FIR 563/23, FIR 597/23, and FIR 588/23, Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

Method of the incident: The said vehicle thieves used to change the color of the stolen motorcycle so that no one could suspect it and used to put a sticker of Ford Company on the tank of the motorcycle and remove the number plate so that there was no identification of the motorcycle. Could. The accused used to steal the motorcycles, change their color, hide them in the forest near Mohanpur, and gradually sell or mortgage them to the people doing farming work in the village and laborers who had come for work from other states. These people used to open the lock of the Splendor motorcycle with a simple key and steal it.

Mashruka:- 04 from the police station Murar area and 06 from the police station Inderganj area; a total of 10 motorcycles worth approximately Rs 4 lakh 50 thousand were recovered.
