One day ‘POSH’ training program organized at Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Gwalior.

A one-day ‘POSH’ training program was organized at Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Gwalior, this training program was organized on 31st August 2024 in the premises of the institute itself.

The main objective of this training program was to make all the faculty and staff members aware of the laws, policies and code of conduct related to sexual harassment at the workplace and to make them aware of the working method of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) formed in the institute. The Director of the Institute, Dr. Nishant Joshi said that through the ‘POSH’ Act, we can prevent sexual and mental harassment of women employees in the future. When any female employee works in the institute, providing her with a safe environment should be our priority and he also told us that there is an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to settle the cases coming under ‘POSH’, which is doing its work with full honesty.

Institute Co-Director Dr. Tarika Singh Sikarwar said that in today’s time, sexual and mental harassment of women in the workplace is increasing day by day. The government has done a commendable job by making the ‘POSH’ Act. Through this women can go to their workplace and work without any fear. She also said that it is our primary responsibility to protect all the women employees in our institute from sexual harassment and mental harassment.


The resource person of this training program Miss Reema Rajawat, Corepax, PIMR, Indore told that the ‘POSH’ Act was started through the Visakha case. She described the ‘POSH’ Act as a boon for women employees and said that whenever women go to their workplace, then their boss, their fellow employees etc. sexually harass and mentally harass them, due to which women have to face many problems in their life and in society. And he also told that ‘POSH’ Act is the need of the hour which protects the basic rights of women employees at the workplace. This training program was organized by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of the institute. In which all the faculty and staff members of the institute were present.

The coordinator of this training program was Associate Professor Deepshikha Chavan. And the Chairperson of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) Dr. Tarika Singh Sikarwar and other members Dr. Chanda Gulati and Associate Professor Smriti Bhadauria were present.
