Pawan Paruthi MP Gwalior | A two-month-old baby of a family returning from Katra after visiting Mata Vaishno Devi temple was kidnapped in a moving train. This incident took place between Gwalior and Dabra station on the intervening night of 6th and 7th April. There was an uproar in the train when the child was kidnapped. When the child’s parents reached the GRP police station to register the case, they were initially avoided. Later, GRP registered a case of kidnapping and started investigation. GRP has received information that a couple has handed over a two-month-old baby found in an abandoned condition to Indore GRP. In such a situation, a GRP party including the complainant has been sent to Indore. GRP officials are avoiding saying anything clearly in this matter.

According to the information, 27-year-old Umesh Kumar, resident of Chhatarpur, had gone to visit Mata Vaishno Devi with his wife and two-month-old child. He had gone to visit Vaishno Mata a few days ago with his wife and two-month-old son. After having darshan, he was returning in S-2 coach of Malwa Express on the intervening night of 6th and 7th April. Their berth numbers were 13 and 14. When he boarded the train from Katra station, after reaching some distance, his wife complained of stomach ache. In such a situation, he gave medicine to his wife and put the child to sleep along with his wife. He himself lay down on the second berth.
When he woke up early in the morning near Dabra station, he saw that his wife was sleeping and the child was missing. Seeing the child missing, they raised an alarm, then GRP personnel arrived and started searching for the child. When the child was not found, the GRP came to the police station and registered a case. GRP started investigating the matter. Meanwhile, it has been learned that a couple in Indore has handed over a child found abandoned to the GRP. In such a situation, the party has been immediately sent to Indore. GRP station in-charge Pankaj Diwan says that a team has been dispatched on the information of finding a child in Indore. On reaching there we will know whether it is the same child or not.
