The name of 'Late Prof. Dr. Vasanti Joshi' is taken with great respect in painting. She participated in seminars and workshops across the country including Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Lucknow and received awards like Kalaguru, Kalanayik, Amrita Sergir etc. on the basis of her art. Your painting exhibitions have been organized in many prominent places like Lucknow, Chhatarpur, Hyderabad, Calcutta, Maharashtra etc. Your research paper on the subject of art and science was also published in Hyderabad National Geological Research Center, which was highly appreciated.

'Late Prof. Dr. Vasanti Joshi' took painting to new heights. In memory of your dedication to painting, the institution 'Kalavriksha Art Gallery' has organized the "Dr. Vasanti Joshi Bakshi Award". A camp is being organized for painting students on 23,24,25 November 2024 in Gwalior.

The first prize in this is Rs. 10000 along with a certificate. 5000, second prize Rs. 3000, third prize Rs. 2000 and three consolation prizes of Rs. 1000 will also be given. All the participating students will be given art material as a gift along with a certificate.

Only 20 painting students will be able to participate in this competition, for which they can apply till 14 October 2024. The applications that will be accepted will have to submit an entry fee of Rs. 200/- and a passport photo. The participating participants will be given one topic every day in two days on which they will have to make a painting. Thus, they will have to make two paintings in two days. The canvas will be provided by the institution for painting, the participant will have to bring brushes and colors. The institution will have the sole rights over the paintings made by the participants.

The members of Bombay J.J. School of Art will hold the position of jury, along with four students from there will participate who will stay with the students and guide them.

The organization has been organizing continuous camps in Gwalior for the last two years in which 28 artists have participated so far. The organization has also made provision for gold medals and money at both Mansingh University and Jiwaji University Gwalior.
