K.R. Mangalam University's NSS unit organized an orientation program in collaboration with Bhaagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti and Punjab & Sind Bank.
On the occasion of NSS Day, K.R. Mangalam University's NSS unit organized an NSS orientation program based on the theme "Empowering the Future: Role of Youth in Nation Building and Development". The program was organized in hybrid mode in collaboration with Bhaagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti and Punjab & Sind Bank, giving an opportunity to both on-campus and online participants to engage in meaningful discussions.
On this occasion, Meeta Rajeevlochan, Secretary (Youth Affairs), Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India sent a message of good wishes to encourage the students and the organizing committee team in which she said that India has the highest number of youth. Therefore, the country has a lot of expectations from the youth. National Service Scheme is a youth group. I request all the members of the National Service Scheme to recognize their strengths and build a new India through constructive efforts. Connect with the society, become a medium in solving social problems and present an ideal by becoming a good citizen. This effort of yours will be the proof of the success of the objectives of the National Service Scheme. Meeta Rajeevlochan requested the Bhaagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti to connect the National Service Scheme of the University with the campaign of legal awareness and benefit the members of the National Service Scheme by sharing their experiences. She extended her heartfelt wishes to the National Service Scheme of R Mangalam University, Gurugram for a grand program of NSS Day.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghuveer Singh, Judge and Secretary DLSA, Gurgaon Ramesh Chander, Motherland Voice Daily Bureau Chief Vijay Gaur, President Bhaagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, State NSS Officer of Haryana Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Deputy General Manager of Punjab and Sindh Bank A.N. Singh, renowned cyber law expert Dr. Rakshit Tandon and renowned poetess and Director of Jayas Foundation Ms. Nazreen Ansari 'Rafi' addressed the gathering.
During the event, NSS students showcased their talents through cultural presentations, which made the entire atmosphere even more vibrant. The students gave wonderful performances of dance, singing and poetry recitation, which were inspiring and entertaining for all. The dance performance reflected the diversity of Indian culture and the spirit of celebration, while the singing enthralled the audience through songs based on patriotism and social awareness. During the poetry recitation, the students presented poems focusing on social issues and the importance of nation building, many of which were based on the duties of the youth and their contribution to the society. These cultural presentations not only highlighted the artistic abilities of the students but also strongly conveyed the message of nation building and social responsibilities.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to the NSS volunteers for their special efforts in their social outreach programs. These awards were given as a symbol of their dedication and commitment to various social initiatives. The honored volunteers had participated in many community service activities including blood donation camps, women empowerment workshops and environmental campaigns, which reflects the values, of NSS.
The Vice Chancellor and other distinguished guests personally presented the awards to the volunteers and encouraged them to continue their efforts in social service. This honor not only motivated the awardees but also inspired other students to actively contribute to the community through the NSS platform. The event ended on a high note of enthusiasm and pride, with all the participants feeling inspired and enthusiastic to work towards nation-building and social welfare.
All the guest speakers praised the leadership of Vice Chancellor Raghuveer Singh and the organizing ability of the Program Coordinator of the NSS Unit of the University, Dr. Neeraj Kumari. The event was graced by the presence of several special guests and dignitaries including Registrar Dr. Rahul Sharma, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Shikha Dutta Sharma and Associate Dean of SOLS Dr. Inderpreet Kaur.
