Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great pomp at Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior.

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great pomp in the premises of the institute today on 02.10.2024 at Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior. The main objective of celebrating Gandhi Jayanti was to dedicate life to the society by learning from the objectives and sacrifices of Gandhiji and to share the biography of Gandhiji with the volunteers of NSS unit and during this, garland was also offered on the photo of Gandhiji.

Director of the institute Dr. Nishant Joshi told that like every year, this time also Gandhi Jayanti is being celebrated on 2 October and this is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi which is also celebrated as International Non-violence Day and he told that apart from the independence of India, Mahatma Gandhi has played a big role in showing the path of truth to the people, non-violence in the society.

Co-Director of the Institute Dr. Tarika Singh Sikarwar said that Mahatma Gandhi was a great freedom fighter who led India as a leader of nationalism against British rule and said that Gandhi ji considered truth to be the basis of all virtues. He believed that one should speak the truth, seek truth in all aspects of life and live life with honesty and integrity.

Program Officer of Prestige NSS Unit Abil Hussain said that we can make our life happy by adopting Gandhi ji's thoughts in our life and he said that all NSS volunteers should serve the society impartially which was the basic mantra of Mahatma Gandhi.

During this program more than 100 volunteers of Prestige NSS Unit were present. During this, cleanliness and many activities of NSS were demonstrated and Gandhi ji's biography was shown. This program was conducted by Prestige NSS. The unit's program officer Tanya Mathur did it and other faculty and staff members of the institute were also present during the program.
At the end of the program, the program was concluded with the national anthem.
