Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste Front State President Dr. Kailash Jatav while addressing a press conference at Hotel Prahlad Inn on Friday said that the Congress Party and its leaders have been misusing the Constitution and constitutional processes to fulfill their political interests. The feeling of insulting the Constitution and Dalits is in its blood. The statement given by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in America against reservation is also indicative of this feeling of Congress. Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste Front condemns his statement.
Congress has always been insulting Baba Saheb and Dalits.
State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste Front, Dr. Kailash Jatav said that the Congress Party ruled the country for about 57 years, but during this time it never showed the will to implement the principle of fundamental reservation given in the Constitution in its true spirit and form. The then Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru rejected the report of Kaka Kalelkar Commission related to reservation for backward classes in 1956. In 1961, Pt. Nehru wrote a letter to the Chief Ministers saying that reservation creates inefficiency and second-rate standards. It was Pt. Nehru who conspired to end the social and political life of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, committed the sin of defeating him in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that the Congress left no stone unturned in insulting Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Congress governments never allowed Baba Saheb's oil painting to be installed in the Parliament and neither was any attempt ever made to give him Bharat Ratna.
Congress has been crushing the soul of the Constitution again and again.
State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste Front, Dr. Kailash Jatav said that if we look at the history of Congress, it is known that it has repeatedly crushed the spirit of the Constitution and its leader Rahul Gandhi's statement against Scheduled Caste reservation on foreign soil is part of such a conspiracy. He said that former Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi imposed emergency in the country in 1975, crushing the Constitution for her political interests. During this period, the voice of journalists was suppressed and the leaders of opposition parties were put in jails. Between 1960 and 1977, the Congress government amended the Constitution more than 25 times. He said that since the Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been formed in 2014, the Constitution has been amended only 8 times. Rajiv Gandhi ji, while commenting on Scheduled Caste reservation on 3 March 1985, had said that we should not promote idiots through reservation. Rajiv Gandhi opposed the Mandal Commission report and also opposed reservation in Lok Sabha in 1990. He said that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly did not recognize reservation on the basis of religion in the Constitution, but the Congress opened the way for it after the 42nd amendment.
Modi government is giving respect to the Constitution, rights to Dalits.
State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste Front, Dr. Kailash Jatav said that the feeling of respect for the Constitution has always been in the mind of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In 2010, when Modi ji was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he had taken out a grand Samvidhan Yatra. After forming the government at the Center, Prime Minister Shri Modi removed Section 370 and 35-A from Kashmir and provided reservation to Dalits, tribals and backward classes by implementing the Constitution of India there after 75 years of independence. Reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies was extended for 10 years. Congress never celebrated Constitution Day while being in power for 57 years, but Prime Minister Shri Modi ji started celebrating Constitution Day at the government level in 2015 and in 2015 itself, he held a discussion on the Constitution in Parliament for two days, which was opposed by the Congress. Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji's government changed the Ministry of Welfare to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Prime Minister Shri Modi's government developed historical places related to Baba Saheb's life in Mhow, London, Nagpur, Delhi and Mumbai as Panchtirtha. Prime Minister Shri Modi himself laid the foundation of Dr. Ambedkar International Center in 2017 to study, research, analysis and policy making on Scheduled Castes.
Modi government is providing facilities to people of every section.
He said that Congress governments never paid attention to providing basic facilities, but Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's government is providing electricity, water, bank account, toilet, housing and free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to people of every section.
Baba Saheb resigned from his post on 27 September 1951.
He said that today is 27 September and on this day, 27 September 1951, Baba Saheb Ambedkar resigned from the post of the first Law Minister of independent India. Baba Saheb was angry with the Congress government for not appointing a commission for backward classes and neglecting the Scheduled Castes.
