 Absconding accused Sarfaraj @ Sannah absconding for 11 years in a case of MCOCA in Delhi nabbed.

 

 Sarfaraj @ Sannah was the most active member of the Interstate crime syndicate of Mewat-based robbers.

 

 He used to receive robbed trucks, tractors, and containers laden with expensive articles from syndicate members.

 

 Sarfaraj @ Sannah has previously been involved in more than 12 criminal cases in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, etc.

 

A team of Special Cell, Southern Range led by Inspr. Pawan Kumar & Insp. Satvinder supervised by ACP Ved Parkash has arrested an absconding accused, a member of an interstate crime  syndicate of Mewat based robbers namely Sarafarj @ Sannah (age 40 years) s/o Ali Mohammad r/o Village Rithat, PS Pinangwan, Distt. Nuh, Haryana. He was arrested on 28/07/2024 from Tundla Toll Plaza, Firozabad, U.P. The Accused was presently hiding in the Gaya District of Bihar. Sarfaraj @ Sannah was wanted in a case of MCOCA of PS Special Cell for the last 11 years. He was earlier declared a proclaimed offender on 01/05/2015 in the above case of MCOCA by the Special Court of Smt. Neena Krishna Bansal, Ld. ASJ. Sarfaraj @ Sannah is previously involved in 12 criminal cases including murder, Dacoity, Robbery, and attempt to murder, etc. in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan etc.

 

INFORMATION & OPERATION

 

There was information about frequenting of absconded criminal Sarfaraj @ Sannah in the area of Gaya, Bihar. This input was further developed by deputing sources and mounting surveillance on the movements of said fugitive and his associates. After efforts of more than six months, specific information was received that the above absconding accused would come between 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM in a truck at Tundla Toll Plaza, Firozabad, U.P. A team was formed and a trap was laid near aforesaid place from where accused Sarfaraj @ Sannah was apprehended on 28.07.2024. He was arrested in the case of MCOCA registered by Special Cell against him and other members of the syndicate in this regard.

 

BACKGROUND & CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES

 

Arrested Sarfaraj  Sannah is previously involved in 12 criminal cases including murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, robbery, etc. in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, etc. 15 associates of Sarfaraj @ Sannah were earlier arrested in the case of MCOCA and all of them have been facing trial in this case. But Sarfaraj @ Sannah had gone underground and he was absconding since the day of registration of FIR against him and his associates. Salli, a dreaded Mewati gangster was the kingpin of the above crime syndicate. Jaffru, Jakir, Subbu, Jamshed, Sahib, Sahun, Sher Khan, Farooq, etc. are other members of the syndicate undergoing trial in this case. Members of this syndicate used to waylay and rob tractors, containers, and trucks laden with costly items on highways at gunpoint by abducting their drivers and helpers and further abandoning them after robbing their trucks. Sarfaraj @ Sannah was an active member of this syndicate. 

  Further investigation of the case is in progress.
