RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that Vedas are the treasure of physical and spiritual knowledge and the root of the whole universe. They work to connect the whole world. Launching the third edition of the Hindi commentary of Vedas written by Shripad Damodar Satvalekar at Ambedkar International Center, he said that Vedas and India are one and the same. They are the basis of Sanatan Dharma. There is also abundance of knowledge, science, mathematics, religion, medicine and music in the Vedas.

He said that the principles of arithmetic, cube and cube root are also clearly mentioned in the mantras of the Vedas. The Vedas contain the welfare of the whole world. Vedas show the path of unity to the entire humanity of the world. In Sanatan culture, one does not have to compete to live life, this is what the Vedas have taught us.

Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that 'Satyam Gyanam Anantam Brahma'. Our sages had composed the Vedas for the welfare of the world with this view. In our country, when the stomach of the son is full, the mother is satisfied. Science may not accept this, but this is a joy beyond materialism. The basis of Vedas can be seen in all systems of knowledge. The entire humanity will keep getting enlightened by the study of Vedas. In the program, Mahamandaleshwar Poo Swami Balakanand Giri Ji Maharaj said that the invaders tried to destroy the Vedic texts and Sanatan Gurukuls, but they could not destroy the Vedas that are etched in the memories of our sages. That is why the Vedas are and will remain permanent in Indian culture.

The launch of the Hindi commentary of the four Vedas in 10 volumes was done by the hands of the Sangh Pramukh. VHP's patron and member of the central management committee, Shri Dinesh Chandra, in his introduction to the programme said that Swadhyay Mandal, Pardi, Gujarat and the Veda Adhyayan Kendra of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, Delhi, have put in 10 years of hard work in publishing 8000 pages of these four Vedas, written in commentary by Shripad Damodar Satvalekar. Scholars and their associates involved in this noble work were also felicitated on this occasion.

Many saints and sages of the country, officials of many religious, social and cultural organisations including the Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and many eminent people of the society and women power were present in the programme.
