The Central Government and the Lieutenant Governor should take action on the bursting of firecrackers on the release of the Chief Minister - Pamma
Fireworks cannot be burst on festivals but can be burst on the release of the Chief Minister - Pamma
On one hand, the Delhi Government has announced a ban on firecrackers till 1 January 2025, on the other hand, today after the release of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on bail, the workers burst firecrackers and foiled the rules. Regarding this, the Chairman of the Federation of Sadar Bazar Trades Association, Paramjit Singh Pamma, expressed strong objection and said that we cannot burst firecrackers on our festivals. Be it Diwali or Gurpurab, but is pollution not being caused by openly bursting firecrackers after the Chief Minister comes out on bail? There is a lot of anger among the traders about this double standard policy of the Delhi Government.
Paramjit Singh Pamma said that it is very sad that whenever festivals come, they bring some rules in the name of pollution and either ban crackers or impose odd and even rules, which causes huge losses to traders. Whereas crackers from outside Delhi are brought and burst in Delhi itself, which leads to business worth crores of rupees in other states.
Paramjit Singh Pamma demanded the Central Government and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi to take action against bursting of crackers when the Chief Minister is released on bail.
