VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital (SJH) commemorated World Spinal Cord Injury Day with a significant public event featuring informative lectures and an engaging street play. The event, held at the hospital premises, aimed to raise awareness about spinal cord injuries and highlight the support services available for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) at SJH.
Today's event was chaired by Dr. Vandana Talwar, MS, SJH & attended by Dr Jayanthi Mani Addl MS, Hod, faculty, nursing officers, staff of PMR department and general public. The event centered around two public lectures detailing the various schemes and benefits available to PwD patients at Safdarjung Hospital. The session provided valuable insights into the resources and support systems in place for individuals dealing with spinal cord injuries.
A notable highlight of the event was a street play performed by students, which creatively addressed the multifaceted impact of spinal injuries on individual’s lives. The performance not only demonstrated solidarity with spinal cord injury patients but also effectively communicated information about the facilities available at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) Department of SJH.
