Two-Day International Conference on “Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Business Transformation and Agricultural Practices”

The School of Management and Commerce (SOMC), in collaboration with the School of Agricultural Sciences, successfully organized a two-day International Conference focusing on sustainability, innovation, and technological advancement in business and agriculture. Dr. Mansi, Dr. Vijay Prakash, Dr. Monika and Dr. Deepak Kumar who were convenor of the conference along with department faculties work day and night for successful execution of the conference.
Day 1: 30 April 2026
The conference commenced with an inaugural session marked by the opening address of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj Uddin Mir. In his address, he emphasized the critical importance of sustainability in higher education, business practices, and agricultural systems, encouraging participants to adopt innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to address global challenges.
The conference was organized under the leadership of the Deans Dr. Hima Gupta and Dr. J. S. Yadav, whose guidance ensured the smooth execution of all sessions.

In addition, research paper presentations began on across various thematic tracks on the first day itself. Participants presented their research work in both offline and online modes facilitating active academic exchange.
Day 2: 1 May 2026
Day 2 commenced with scholars and academicians from diverse disciplines presenting their research papers across various technical sessions. These sessions continued in C Block rooms C415, C416, and C411, where participants actively engaged in discussions and knowledge sharing.
Following the technical sessions, keynote addresses were delivered by eminent speakers including Ms. Kavita Gambhir, Dr. Maheshwar Dwivedi, Dr. J. S. Yadav, and international speaker Dr. Isil Demirtas. The speakers shared their valuable perspectives on sustainability, innovative technologies, and their role in transforming business and agricultural practices. Chief guest of valedictory function Dr J S Yadav, Managing Director of National council of state Agricultural marketing boards ( COSAMB) and an international expert of supply chain and marketing of Agricultural commodities presented a clear picture of global market of Agricultural produce and emphasised that Agricultural and management graduates have an important role in this area and has great scope for their engagement at international level.
The second day also featured a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Anumeha Mathur, which further deepened the discourse on sustainability and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The conference witnessed participation from around 80 registered participants, who presented their research in both online and offline modes. The quality and diversity of research contributions reflected strong academic engagement.
The event concluded with the felicitation of keynote speakers and panellists, followed by the announcement of Best Paper Awards, recognizing outstanding research contributions. The conference ended on a successful note, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and sustainable development.
