A Major Accident Averted with Bravery and Prompt Action: Chief Security Officer Rajeev Kumar Dhaka Sets an Example

New Delhi: A sudden massive fire broke out in the NDMC Enforcement Department’s warehouse located in Laxmibai Nagar, creating panic across the entire area. Due to the presence of plastic, clothes, wood, gas cylinders, and other flammable materials stored in the warehouse, the fire took a severe form within a short time. The flames were rising so high that there was a fear that even the nearby flyover could come under its impact.

At such a critical time, NDMC Chief Security Officer Rajeev Kumar Dhaka displayed extraordinary courage and presence of mind. Due to the smoke and fire, there was no clear way to enter the warehouse, yet he decided to jump over the back wall and enter inside. During this, he fell and got injured, suffering a fracture in his leg, but he did not give up. Without caring for his life, he crawled on the ground and reached the closed shutter inside and opened it.

This was the decisive moment that gave firefighters the path to enter and bring the fire under control. If this courageous step had not been taken in time, the gas cylinders and other explosive materials present in the warehouse could have caused a major disaster.

This act of bravery by Rajeev Kumar Dhaka is not just the fulfillment of duty by an officer, but an excellent example of humanity, responsibility, and quick decision-making ability. His action teaches us that in times of crisis, patience, courage, and wisdom are the greatest strengths. His alertness and dedication are a source of inspiration for future generations.
