The Kejriwal government not only played with the sentiments of Hindus by banning firecrackers in Delhi but also hurt the faith of millions of Purvanchalis by attempting to stop a grand festival like Chhath Puja at traditional river bed — Virendra Sachdeva
Respecting traditions while also ensuring that pollution does not increase — this balance is the priority of the BJP government — Virendra Sachdeva
Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva stated that for the past 11 years, Delhi had a government that consistently attempted to hinder Hindu festivals, disrupt their celebrations, and hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. And now, when the BJP government is talking about celebrating Diwali with green firecrackers, the Aam Aadmi Party is once again viewing it through a political lens.
Mr. Sachdeva said that certified green firecrackers will neither increase pollution in Delhi nor hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
It is essential to maintain a balance between pollution control and respecting religious sentiments in Delhi. The previous government not only banned firecrackers, thus playing with the sentiments of Hindus, but also disrespected the faith of millions of Purvanchalis by stopping a grand festival like Chhath's celebrations at river bed.
The Delhi BJP President said that our government has requested the Hon’ble Supreme Court to allow the use of green firecrackers, and the BJP government, along with the people of Delhi, will honor whatever decision the Hon’ble Court gives.
Respecting traditions while ensuring no pollution — both are priorities of the BJP, and we are committed to them. Our aim is for Delhiites to celebrate a bright and joyous Diwali in a clean and safe environment.
