The NSS Orientation Day was successfully organised at K.R. Mangalam University with the Principal partnership of Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti

The NSS Orientation Day at K.R. Mangalam University which organised with the Principal partnership of Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti , was a resounding success, marked by the presence of esteemed guests who brought their wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Ms. Delina Khongdup, Member of the National Commission for Women, Justice Dharmesh Sharma, former Judge of the Delhi High Court, Shri Raghuveer Singh, Vice Chancellor, KRMU, Shri Vijay Gaur, Chairperson of Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, Dr. Neerja Chaturvedi, RJ FM Rainbow Aakashwani and Shri Avinash Jali, a Social Activist were among the dignitaries who graced the occasion with their presence.

National Service Scheme (NSS), K.R. Mangalam University on the occasion of NSS Day, the University organized an NSS Orientation Day in the university campus on the theme "Youth Power in Nation Building: Self Before Service." 

The program aimed to welcome newly enrolled volunteers and instilled in them the spirit of "not me, but you" The students were informed about the objectives of the NSS, its role in fostering social responsibility, and opportunities for community participation.

The event was a clarion call to the youth to take up the mantle of social responsibility and make a meaningful impact in their communities. 

Chief Guest Ms. Delina Khongdup's impassioned plea for promoting gender equality and social responsibility resonated deeply with the audience, while Justice Dharmesh Sharma's words on the importance of values like justice and honesty served as a timely reminder of the need for ethical leadership and that NSS platform in this direction plays a very important role the for youth. 

Bureau Chief and Chairperson of Bhagidari Jan Sahayog Samiti Special Guest Vijay Gaur's inspiring address highlighted the transformative power of collective responsibility and community participation and how efforts made voluntarily can accelerate environmental and social initiatives. The insightful observation of Dr. Neerja Chaturvedi “Use your voice to spread the spirit of service every story can spark a movement. Connect fearlessly with society and see how your small steps bring about big changes."  acclaimed by all.    

Professor Mehraj Uddin Mir   emphasised on the importance of social responsibility and youth-driven social innovation added depth and nuance to the discussion. Thomas Monteiro highlighted youth-driven social innovation and emphasized the importance of their active participation in addressing local issues. 

The award ceremony that followed was a celebration of the outstanding contributions made by NSS volunteers, who were recognized for their selfless service and commitment to social causes. The newly elected leaders President, Vice Presidents and Group Leaders were felicitated with certificates and best wishes, marking the beginning of their journey as change-makers.

As the event drew to a close, Dr. Neeraj Kumari, NSS Program Coordinator, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the tireless efforts of the NSS team in making the day a success. The NSS Orientation Day was a truly unforgettable experience, one that will continue to inspire and motivate the young volunteers to make a positive impact in the world.
On this occasion Special Guest Vijay Gaur the Chairperson Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti presented Memento of Bhagidari JSS to Dr. Neeraj Kumari Programme Coordinator NSS for her excellent initiative Special in the Village Awareness Project.
