The 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week program was organized in a grand manner by PHC Datia.

As per the orders of Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ghaziabad, the 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week which is being organized from 17th September to 23rd September 2025, various academic talks and quiz were organized on 23/09/2025 by the Department of Pharmacology, PHC Datia under the chairmanship of Dr. Deepak Singh Maravi, Dean and Chief Executive Officer of Government Medical College Datia. The theme of this academic program was “Your Safety, Just A Click Away: Report to PvPI”, under which information was provided about prevention of side effects of medicines and method of reporting side effects, rights and duties of patients and complaint redressal.

Dr. Deepak Ji advised that lectures on side effects of medicines should be widely publicized in all government rural and urban areas of Datia district so that maximum reporting can be done, which will be important for the safety of patients' health. The main coordinator of the program (ADR Monitoring Center), Professor and Head of Department (Pharmacology Department), Dr. Surendra Kumar Baudh, explained how the Pharmacovigilance Unit works regarding the rational use of medicines and reporting of information on side effects of medicines. Dr. Deepika Singh, Dr. Vaibhav Bilgainya, Dr. Soham Mashcharak, Dr. Shiva Sai delivered lectures under the guidance of Dr. Baudh, and the program was successfully conducted by Dr. Aman Dangi. Various department heads, PG residents, senior residents, nursing superintendent Dr. participated in this program. Along with Viji Awasthi, the program was attended by Hospital Superintendent Dr. Arjun Singh, Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology, Dr. Sachin Yadav, Associate Professor and Associate Hospital Superintendent of Community Medicine, Dr. Shweta Yadav, Professor and Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Dr. Ranjana Sharma, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology. All participants showcased their academic talents in the quiz. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. B.P. Kale, Associate Professor and Deputy Coordinator (ADR Monitoring Center).
