The inauguration of the Delhi BJP’s own office by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi doubled the enthusiasm of the workers for the new office.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the new building in the presence of BJP’s National President, National General Secretary (Organization), the Chief Minister of Delhi, the Delhi BJP President, and other senior leaders.

Earlier this morning, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, along with his wife, performed a religious ritual (Havan-Poojan) before entering the new building, in the august presence of National General Secretary (Organization) Shri B.L. Santosh and other senior leaders.

Witnessing the BJP’s journey from the days of Jan Sangh to the present, more than 250 senior and veteran leaders became emotional during the inauguration of the party’s own permanent office, while the energy of the approximately 20,000 karyakartas (workers) present was a sight to behold.

Workers expressed that the joy of having a own office felt like Diwali had arrived before its time.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, today evening, at a grand ceremony held at Deendayal Upadhyay Marg, inaugurated the newly constructed own office of the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party for official use.

Sharing the stage with the Prime Minister were BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, Delhi BJP Co-Incharge Dr. Alka Gurjar, Union Minister of State Shri Harsh Malhotra, MPs Shri Manoj Tiwari, Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Shri Yogendra Chandolia, Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Shri Praveen Khandelwal and Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Delhi Government Ministers Shri Pravesh Sahib Singh, Shri Ashish Sood, Shri Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Shri Kapil Mishra, Dr. Pankaj Singh, and Shri Inderraj Singh, Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh, NDMC Vice Chairman Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, and BJP Delhi General Secretary Shri Vishnu Mittal.

Earlier today, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, accompanied by his wife, performed traditional rituals (Havan-Poojan) before entering the building, in the august presence of National General Secretary (Organization) Shri B.L. Santosh and other senior leaders.

The foundation stone of this building was laid by BJP National President Shri J.P. Nadda on 9 June 2023, and today, on 29 September 2025, during the auspicious days of Sharadiya Navratri, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi formally inaugurated the building at a ceremony presided over by Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva.

From the Jan Sangh era to the present 45-year journey of the BJP, the absence of a own permanent office in Delhi had always been a lingering issue for the party’s workers. Today, that void was finally filled by the Prime Minister’s inauguration.

The Prime Minister’s formal inauguration from the main stage elevated the enthusiasm of approximately 20,000 workers gathered outside the venue on Deendayal Upadhyay Marg. For the around 250 senior and veteran leaders and karyakartas seated in front of the stage—many of whom had led the party since the Jan Sangh days or from BJP’s foundation year in 1980 — it was an emotional moment. Tears were seen in the eyes of many senior leaders.

The current Delhi BJP office-bearers — including Organization General Secretary Shri Pawan Rana, Treasurer Shri Satish Garg, all Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Media Head and Spokespersons in whose tenure the office was built — considered today a moment of pride. Filled with enthusiasm, workers remarked that the joy of having their own  permanent office was akin to Diwali arriving before time.

The event was graced by National Office Bearers Shri B.L. Santosh, Shri V. Satish, Shri Baijayant Jay Panda, Shri Arun Singh, Shri Vinod Tawde, Shri Dushyant Gautam, Shri Anil Baluni, Shri Om Prakash Dhankar, among others.

Union Ministers Shri Piyush Goyal and Shri S.P.S. Baghel were also present and added dignity to the event.

Former Delhi BJP Presidents Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Shri Vijay Goel, Shri Satish Upadhyay, Shri Manoj Tiwari, and Shri Adesh Gupta; former Organization Secretaries Shri Vijay Sharma and Shri Pawan Sharma; and most MLAs and municipal councillors were also in attendance.

Among the senior and veteran leaders present were Shri Vedvyas Mahajan, Shri O.P. Babbar, Shri Jagdish Mukhi, Shri Rambhaj, Shri Shyam Lal Garg, Shri Lal Bihari Tiwari, Shri Moolchand Chawla, Shri Chand Ram, Shri Jeet Ram Solanki, Smt. Anita Arya, Shri Radheshyam Sharma, Shri Suman Kumar Gupta, and others. Outgoing MPs Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi and Shri Ramesh Bidhuri were also present.
