Special Multi-Specialty Health Camp Held at Village Sirol (Datia) under Healthy Woman, Empowered Woman Campaign

Today, Thursday, September 25, 2025, the Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Datia, organized a special multispecialty camp in village Sirol, Datia district. The camp was organized under the "Swasth Nari, Sashakt Nari Abhiyan" and the Family Adoption Program. The camp's objective was to promote women's health and empowerment and to raise community awareness through family-based health services.

Hundreds of villagers participated in the camp in village Sirol, Datia, where women and families received free health checkups, counseling services, and essential medicines. Particular attention was paid to topics such as maternal and child health, nutrition, anemia prevention, reproductive health, and lifestyle modifications.

Dr. Sachin Yadav, Associate Professor, Department of Community Medicine, discussed the importance of nutrition for girls from newborn to adolescence.

Dr. Deepak Marawi, Dean and Chief Executive Officer of the Government Medical College, Datia, who was a special guest at the event, stated in his address that women's health and empowerment are the foundation of society's strength and progress. He urged women to prioritize their health and seek active support from their families.

On this occasion, Dr. Manohar Bhatia highlighted the importance of the "Healthy Women, Empowered Women Campaign," stating that women's health is directly linked to the development of the entire community and nation. He also explained the objectives of the Family Adoption Program, under which doctors and students adopt families and provide ongoing health counseling and support.

The villagers praised the camp, calling it an important step towards improving women's health and empowering families.

Faculty members, postgraduate students, and health workers, including Dr. Sachin Singh Yadav, Dr. Manohar Bhatia, Dr. Nidhi Agarwal, Dr. Pooja Kumari, Dr. Bikramjeet Mitra, and Dr. Ram Lakhan Meena, were present at the camp.
