The two-day First International Law Seminar was inaugurated at the Law Department of Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior.

The first International Law Seminar was inaugurated today, September 26, 2025, in the memory of the late Justice M.S. Shah, at the Law Department of Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior.

The primary objective of this International Law Seminar is to highlight the emerging dimensions, challenges, and reforms of law in a globalized world, and to engage in in-depth discussions on the fundamental changes, new challenges, and necessary reforms taking place in the field of law in the era of globalization.

This International Law Seminar will provide a platform for legal experts, academics, policymakers, researchers, and students to present their views and research on the interrelationships between law and other disciplines. Renowned jurists, judges, and professors from India and abroad will participate in the seminar.

The chief guest of the program was Professor Dr. Manoj Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor, DNLU. Jabalpur explained that such international seminars prove to be very important because, through discussions with various legal luminaries, we provide a new direction to society. He encouraged and guided law students to adapt to today's problems.

The chief guest of the program, Dr. Praveen Tripathi, Registrar, DNLU, Jabalpur, stated that law holds a unique place globally, motivating everyone to live on equal terms. He also emphasized that it is essential for law students to study the law in depth to establish themselves.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Letizia Copo, Associate Professor, Lyon Catholic University, France, stated that providing justice and equality to people living in society today should be our ultimate goal, as the law encourages us to live together and be equal. She also emphasized the growing artificial growth at the global level. The chief guest of the program, F.A. Shah, MP High Court, Gwalior.

Institute Director Dr. Nirmala Bandyopadhyay said that today is the time to adopt new technologies. If we want to establish ourselves in the field of law, we must focus on opening up society while keeping in mind the emerging dimensions and challenges.

She said that such platforms inspire everyone to move forward.

Principal of the Law Department, Professor Dr. Rakhi Singh Chauhan said that the future of law students is very bright and there are immense possibilities in the field of law, but all law students will have to persevere with full dedication. She also said that the law is changing day by day, and everyone will have to establish themselves by respecting the challenging dimensions and adapting to the society.

In this seminar, Dr. Hariom Awasthi, Head of the Law Department, gave detailed information in this regard and said that Justice M.A. Shah has made incomparable contributions to the Indian judicial system. This international symposium is being organized to pay tribute to him and will be a true tribute to the late Justice M.A. Shah's dedication to justice and law.

More than 150 participants participated in this seminar, in which 9 online and online technical sessions were organized, in which all participants would present their research paper projects. In which, according to the theme of the seminar, awards will be given for the best research paper and best presenter.

All the faculty members of the Law Department were present during the program, including Associate Professor Ashish Yadav, Associate Professor Abil Hussain, Associate Professor Rahul Srivastava, Associate Professor Jigyasa Vohra, Associate Professor Diksha Bhadauria, Associate Professor Mansi Soni, Associate Professor Richa Mittal, Associate Professor Sahil Verma.

The programme was conducted by Associate Professor Mansi Gupta and at the end of the programme, Associate Professor Dr. Akshay Bhargava expressed his gratitude to everyone.
