The Urology Department at Safdarjung Hospital (SJH) successfully conducted a session on Stone Disease, Prostate, and Urinary Cancer awareness under the ongoing Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (#SNSP) at the Super Speciality Block (SSB).

The program, attended by over 500 participants, was graced by Dr. Charu Bamba, MS, along with all AMS, reaffirming the hospital’s commitment to addressing critical urological health issues. Attendees were also provided fruits as a gesture of care and wellness.In parallel, the Department of Community Medicine organized a health awareness session at GGSSS-3 Najafgarh, benefiting more than 460 participants, with discussions on menstrual hygiene, nutrition, and obesity. At SJH, an antenatal care (ANC) camp featured the distribution of Ayush Ahaar nutritional packets, in collaboration with Devayaa and its founder Dr. Manisha Joshi, conducted in the presence of Dr. R. P. Arora, AMS. The session underscored the importance of maternal nutrition in family health.Additionally, a large-scale deworming drive, led by Dr. R. P. Arora, AMS, covered nearly 2000 individuals, including patients, attendants, and staff. Other ongoing activities under #SNSP include ANC camps, TB screening, yoga sessions, and psychiatry clinics.Marking a remarkable milestone, the footfall at Safdarjung Hospital under the #SNSP Abhiyaan has crossed one lakh in just ten days, reflecting overwhelming community participation. These collective efforts highlight SJH’s dedication to empowering women and families through preventive health, nutrition support, and community awareness initiatives.
