Final Phase Preparations for Consecration of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Jodhpur

Preparations are in full swing for the consecration of the newly built BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir Jodhpur at Kali Beri, Sur Sagar. The mandir is a unique gift to the city of Jodhpur. The Murti Prana Pratistha ceremony shall be performed on September 25 in the divine presence of the spiritual head of BAPS, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj.

Ahead of the ceremony, major events include:

Vishwashanti Yagna on September 23: Vishwashanti Yagna (a vedic ritual ceremony for global peace) with participation from devotees across India and abroad.
Grand Sobha Yatra on September 24: A grand nagar sobha yatra procession at 2 p.m. through the city, with thousands of devotees and beautifully decorated floats carrying the idols.

The grand festival is expected to attract visitors from America, Europe, Australia, Africa, and across India. Currently, more than 1,000 volunteers across 35 service departments are engaged in preparations that are equally supported by the city administration.

Commenting on the progress, Dr. Gyanananddas Swami said: “All the devotees are serving with dedication to God and Guruji. This mandir is a source of pride for Sanatana Dharma and our ancient Indian culture.”

With international participation and meticulous arrangements, the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir consecration promises to be one of Jodhpur’s most significant spiritual events in recent times.

His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj will arrive in Jodhpur on September 19.
