Namo Yuva Run to be organized tomorrow morning by Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha at Delhi University Sports Complex

Over 5,000 youth from Delhi to participate in marathon run aimed at promoting a drug-free lifestyle

New Delhi, 20th September:
Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha will organize the “Namo Yuva Marathon Run” tomorrow at Delhi University Sports Complex under the Drug-Free India Campaign.

Addressing a press conference today at the State BJP office, BJP MP from New Delhi, Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, said that the “Namo Yuva Run” is being organized across the country as part of the “Seva Pakhwada”, being observed by the BJP from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday to Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The aim is to spread awareness among the youth against drug addiction. A grand event will be held tomorrow at Delhi University Sports Complex as part of this campaign.

The press conference, conducted by Delhi BJP Media Head Mr. Praveen Shankar Kapoor, was also addressed by Padma Shri Awardee and Indian Athlete Ms. Sudha Singh, and Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha President Mr. Sagar Tyagi. During the event, the official banner for the “Namo Yuva Marathon Run” was formally launched. Yuva Morcha In-charge Mr. Abhishek Tandon and Media Head of Yuva Morcha Mr. Shubham Malik were also present.

Ms. Bansuri Swaraj stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a source of inspiration for 1.4 billion Indians and that he understands the youth are the future of this nation. Empowering youth is not just about talking; it’s about building a strong foundation to realize the vision of a developed India. Today, the emphasis is not only on youth empowerment but also on strengthening the nation under the leadership of the youth.

She added, “Drug addiction is like cancer — a tool used by enemies to weaken the very roots of our nation.” To ensure that the youth of our country stay away from drugs, over 5,000 young participants from Delhi will take part in tomorrow’s event, led by brand ambassador and Padma Shri awardee Ms. Sudha Singh. “We appeal to all youth to raise their voices in support of a drug-free India.”

Ms. Sudha Singh, Padma Shri awardee and gold medalist athlete, said that the upcoming marathon is especially focused on freeing youth from drug addiction. She appealed to everyone: “If there’s a child or youth in your family struggling with addiction, please try to guide them, because if even one young member of a family is addicted, the entire family suffers.” She added, “A drug-free youth means a stronger India.”

Media Head Mr. Praveen Shankar Kapoor praised Sudha Singh, saying she has earned the role of brand ambassador for the Yuva Morcha’s marathon through her own hard work, having won the Mumbai Marathon four times. He emphasized that this event is a great opportunity for Delhi’s youth.

Mr. Sagar Tyagi shared details of the event, stating that as part of the “Seva Pakhwada”, over 5,000 youth will participate in the Namo Yuva Run at Delhi University Sports Complex. The event aims to rally the nation’s youth towards a drug-free India. The program will begin at 6:30 AM, with opening remarks by BJP National President Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda and BJP Yuva Morcha President Mr. Tejasvi Surya.
