Free legal aid camp organized by the Law Department of Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior

A free legal aid camp was successfully organized today on 04.09.2025 at Central Jail, Gwalior under the joint aegis of the Law Department of Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior and District Legal Services Authority, Gwalior (DLSA).

The main objective of organizing this free legal aid camp was to make the prisoners living in the jail aware of their rights and responsibilities and to encourage them to live in harmony in the society by making them aware of their legal rights.

Principal of the Law Department, Professor Dr. Rakhi Singh Chauhan said that the Law Department, Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior organizes free legal aid camps from time to time and in today's time, whether it is the common people or the prisoners living in jail, it is important for everyone to know their legal rights. You can make your life easier by taking legal advice.

Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Gwalior, Mr. Priyank Bhardwaj informed that DLSA is an organisation which provides free legal advice and assistance to the weaker sections of the society. Its main work is to organise Lok Adalats, spread legal awareness among people and help in resolving disputes.

During this camp, Head of the Law Department and Professor Dr. Hariom Awasthi, Associate Professor Rahul Shrivastava, students of Law Department, Kartikeya Saxena, Anirudh Gupta, Surabhi Chhaparia, Himanshu Yadav, Pankaj Pandey etc were present.
