ROBBERY CASE WORKED OUT, WITH THE RECOVERY OF ROBBED CASE PROPERTY

02 ROBBERS NABBED BY STAFF OF PS JAHANGIR PURI
01 EARRING OF THE COMPLAINANT AND 01 KNIFE USED IN CRIME WERE RECOVERED
ACCUSED COMMITTED THE CRIME IN PURSUIT OF EASY MONEY
BOTH ACCUSED PERSONS FOUND TO BE HABITUAL AND ACTIVE CRIMINALS, PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 15 CASES OF ROBBERY, SNATCHING, BURGLARY, ARMS ACT & THEFT

The staff of PS Jahangir Puri successfully arrested two robbers, identified as: (1) Jamil @ Tiya S/o Sheikh Islam R/o C- Block Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age- 25 years & (2) Moinuddin @ Chuha S/o Sheikh Islam R/o C- Block Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age-30 years. During their arrest, 01 knife used in crime and 01 earring of the complainant were recovered from their possession. Both the accused were found to be previously involved in 15 cases of robbery, snatching, burglary, arms act and theft, who had resorted to criminal activities in pursuit of quick and easy money.

• Brief Facts & Incident Details:-

On 07.09.2025 at about 06:30 PM, the complainant Sunil, aged 34 years, S/o Late Ram Sagar, R/o K-Block, Jahangir Puri, Delhi, stated that while he had gone to purchase vegetables near Ambedkar Park, Sabzi Mandi Road, CD Park, Jahangir Puri, he was called by accused Jamil @ Tiya, a resident of C-Block, Jahangir Puri, who along with two associates took him inside the park. There, one associate held and pressed his neck from behind, while accused Jamil @ Tiya threatened him with a knife and demanded valuables. The third accomplice forcibly searched his pockets, robbing him of his sky-blue mobile phone and cash Rs.730/-. Additionally, Jamil @ Tiya forcibly pulled a gold earring from his left ear, causing injury. Thereafter, the assailants pushed the complainant to the ground and fled from the spot.

In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 823/25, Dt.07.09.25, U/s 309(4)/309(6)/311/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Jahangir Puri and investigation was taken up.

• Team & Investigation:-

Considering the gravity of the offence and the nature of the incident, a dedicated team comprising SI Deepak Kumar, HC Nityanand, HC Dinesh, HC Ravinder & Ct. Anil of PS Jahangir Puri was constituted to investigate the case. The team operated under the close supervision of Insp. Satvinder Singh, SHO/PS Jahangir Puri, and Sh. Yogendra Khokhar, ACP/Jahangir Puri. The team was thoroughly briefed and tasked with swiftly solving the case and apprehending the accused persons at the earliest.

The investigation team recorded the detailed statement of the complainant and analyzed CCTV footage to aid in the identification of the accused individuals. Additionally, local sources were activated to gather intelligence. Based on the inputs received, multiple raids were conducted at various suspected hideouts. As a result of sustained efforts, the team successfully apprehended two individuals, later identified as: (1) Jamil @ Tiya S/o Sheikh Islam R/o C- Block Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age- 25 years & (2) Moinuddin @ Chuha S/o Sheikh Islam R/o C- Block Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age-30 years. During their cursory search, 01 knife used in crime and 01 earring of the complainant were recovered from their possession.

During sustained interrogation, the accused persons confessed their involvement in the aforementioned case. It was further revealed that Both the accused were found to be previously involved in 15 cases of robbery, snatching, burglary, arms act and theft, who had resorted to criminal activities in pursuit of quick and easy money.

Further efforts are underway to recover the remaining case property and to ascertain the accused persons' possible involvement in other criminal cases.

Jamil @ Tiya S/o Sheikh Islam R/o C- Block Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age- 25 years. Previous Involvement:- 10 Cases of Robbery, Arms act, Theft.

Moinuddin @ Chuha S/o Sheikh Islam R/o C- Block Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age-30 years. Previous Involvement:- 05 Cases of Snatching, Arms act, Burglary.

• Recovery:-

01 Knife used in crime.

01 Earring of the complainant.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
