This day reminds us of the lives and sacrifices of great figures who, through their thoughts and actions, shaped India's path to new life. Mahatma Gandhi's principles of truth and non-violence not only led to India's independence but also showed the world the path to love and peace. His simple life and noble ideals remain relevant today, especially at a time when the world is grappling with violence and selfishness. Lal Bahadur Shastri, on the other hand, kept the country united in the face of adversity and rose from a humble family to become the Prime Minister of India. His slogan, "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan," boosted the morale of the country's farmers and soldiers. He inspired the nation to fight poverty and ignorance. On this historic occasion, we pledge to embody Bapu and Shastri's ideals—truth, non-violence, simplicity, unity, and dedication—in our lives. We will contribute to strengthening the nation and building an egalitarian and peaceful society. This day reminds us that even in adverse circumstances, positive change is possible through unity and unwavering resolve. Let us all together carry forward the legacy of these great leaders and build a better India by following the path shown by them.
