On the stage managed by State General Secretary Mr. Vishnu Mittal, the following senior leaders were present Organizational General Secretary Mr. Pawan Rana,
Delhi Government Ministers Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa,
Mr. Pravesh Sahib Singh, Mr. Ashish Sood, Mr. Ravindra Indraj, Mr. Kapil Mishra, Dr. Pankaj Singh, State Treasurer Mr. Satish Garg, Vice Presidents Mr. Rajkumar Bhatia and Mrs. Yogita Singh,

Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said that the entire country is standing with Punjab in the current crisis. Seeing the continuous tragedies, the people of Delhi have also resolved to stand with Punjab.

He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda are continuously reviewing the disasters that have occurred in Punjab and other states. As an organization, we have learned that wherever the organization is given any duty it immediately gets into service.

Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said that today, it is through service and with the spirit of the organization’s commitment to service that we are sending relief materials to Punjab because Punjab needs us today. This is not a favor but an act of humanity when we stand by someone in times of hardship. The BJP organization also teaches the same. Our Chief Minister has contributed five crore rupees as aid to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Fund.

Mr. Sachdeva said that we spoke with the people of Punjab as well as with our organization there, and while there is ration available to manage the situation, there are no resources to prepare and store it. Therefore, in addition to utensils, we are sending mosquito nets, blankets, tarpaulins, medicines, shoes, slippers, and various other materials today. This is our effort for the people of that state, who are not only the nation’s food providers but also its border guardians.

This is the first effort, and we will continue to expand this service. Understanding our duty, we are sending off these trucks which will go to Jalandhar and from there, the goods will be distributed to the areas where they are needed.

Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta said that at this time, due to natural disasters, the country and Punjab are entangled in difficulties, and we should hold each other’s hands during this adversity. We have learned from the country’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi how we should stand with any country in the world when it faces a disaster.

The Chief Minister said that Punjab is the jewel state of our country that has always supported the nation and the world.

She said that there was a time when India was only among the countries asking for help, but today it has become one of the countries which extend help in every emergency in the world.

Smt. Rekha Gupta said that today is the time when we should rise above politics and help Punjab because if the heart of the country beats in Delhi, then Delhi’s heartbeat resides in Punjab. Today, the whole of Delhi stands with the food-provider farmers of Punjab.

I have personally spoken to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Mann and told him that if he needs any kind of assistance, he should let us know, and we will try to fulfill it.

Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Punjab has always stood for the country, and today is the time when the entire nation must stand for Punjab. This relief effort is not limited to today alone, and the Delhi government is fully prepared to continue providing all kinds of assistance along with this relief material.
