INTERNATIONAL NARCOTICS SUPPLY SYNDICATE BUSTED BY CRIME BRANCH

06 DRUG TRAFFICKERS ARRESTED WITH TOTAL RECOVERY OF 5.737 KGs CANNABIS (INCLUDING INTERNATIONAL OG GANJA SEIZED.
In a determined crackdown against narcotics smuggling, the Western Range-I of Crime Branch, Delhi Police, achieved with the apprehension of six active drug peddlers with three vehicles and recovered substantial quantities of high-quality OG Ganza. The drug contraband recovery not only curtailed the immediate circulation of narcotics in Delhi but also exposed the linkages of a wider supply chain being operated across the border i.e. from Thailand in different areas of the capital. 
TEAM AND OPERATION:
On 26.08.2025, acting upon secret information received acting upon credible information received to HC Dinesh, a raid was conducted by a team comprising SIs Amolak & Amit Kumar, ASIs Aditya, Randhir & Joginder, HCs Dinesh, Sudama, Ram Niwas, Sanoj and HC Ravi Bhardwaj under the leadership of Inspr. Akhilesh Bajpai, under the supervision of Sh. Satendra Mohan, ACP/WR-1 and successfully apprehended two peddlers Pratap Singh and Mehraj Khan near Golden Mansion Hotel, Keshopur Mandi, Delhi from  two cars  with  the recovery of 3.708 kg OG Ganja. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 225/2025 dated 27.08.2025 u/s 20/25/29 NDPS Act, PS Crime Branch was registered and both accused were arrested.
Pursuing further leads, on 01.09.2025, the key supplier Anil Kumar Singh, who was sourcing contraband from Thailand, was traced and nabbed in Hyderabad through technical assistance. Acting on his instance, a subsequent raid at his native village in Azamgarh (U.P.) led to recovery of 2.029 kg Ganja (OG) from a his car. 
On 03.09.2025, three more accused namely Harpreet Singh, Rajwant Singh and Surjeet Singh were arrested from Chander Vihar, Delhi, who revealed their active role in smuggling contraband from Thailand under the directions of one Ishan and in connivance with Pratap Singh. In total, 06 accused persons were apprehended and 05.737 kg Ganja (OG) was recovered, 03 vehicles and passports were seized, thereby dismantling a cross-border narcotics trafficking module operating through Thailand–Delhi route via various cities of India. 
INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI: 
The investigation has exposed a well-organized international syndicate headed by Anil and Ishan, involved in trafficking OG Ganja from Bangkok, Thailand to India, especially Delhi-NCR. The cartel purchased OG Ganja at about ?1.5 lakh per kilogram in Thailand and sold it in Delhi-NCR at ? 6–7 lakh per kilogram. The proceeds were routed to Ishan who is allegedly in Dubai, through multiple accounts by accused Anil Kumar Singh.
Anil Kumar Singh with associates Mehraj Khan and Pratap Singh, managed the network from abroad. They recruited carriers by luring them with foreign trips, easy money and commissions. Accused Anil Kumar Singh, earlier based in Bangkok, arranged consignments and their dispatch. Surjeet Singh and Pratap Singh recruited carriers like Harpreet Singh and Rajwant Singh, provided tickets and managed tours. In Bangkok, local suppliers handed sealed packets of OG Ganja to carriers, who, on returning to airports at Amritsar, Chandigarh, Mumbai and Delhi, contacted Mehraj Khan and Pratap Singh. These receivers coordinated with delivery agents for further distribution across Delhi-NCR. The syndicate operated on a profit-sharing model, ensuring a steady chain of smuggling, transportation and delivery.
TOTAL RECOVERY:
1. Total 5.737 KGs Cannabis (Ganja) Including 3.728 KGs OG Ganja.
2. 03 Cars.
3. 02 Passports
PROFILE OF ARRESTED ACCUSED PERSONS: 
1. Accused Mehraj Khan (42 years) R/o Tilak Nagar, Delhi, studied upto 6th Class. He runs a garment shop named Luxury Collections in Khyala and occasionally engaged in tour and travel work for extra income. He arranges local receivers/buyers for OG Ganja on the direction of leader of nexus i.e. Ishan. 
2. Accused Pratap Singh (32 years) R/o Nilothi, West Delhi, studied upto 6th Class. Earlier works as a travel agent and arranges visas and travel tickets for passengers (Carriers of Ganja).
3. Anil Kumar Singh (37 years) R/o Village Gangepur, Azamgarh (U.P.) is 12th pass and used to stay in Bangkok for about 18 years at where he used to sell cloths. In January 2025, he apprehended with two passports at IGI Airport and booked u/s 12 Passport Prevention Act. He arranges OG Ganja from Thailand with his local contacts and supply to the carriers send by Ishan and runs the whole drug syndicate.
4. Surjeet Singh (34 years) R/o Chander Vihar, Nilothi Extn., New Delhi, worked as an auto driver and part time property dealers, he provides “Pax” (Carriers of Ganja) to Anil Kumar on the direction of Ishan.
5. Harpreet Singh (27 years) R/o Vikas Puri Extn., Nilothi, New Delhi, is 12th pass. He was one of the carrier of Ganja.
6. Rajwant Singh (49 years) R/o Nihal Vihar, Chander Vihar, New Delhi, worked as an auto driver. He was one of the carrier of Ganja.
Further investigation is going on.
