NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL AND PO DECLARED IN A CASE OF SNATCHING OF MANGOLPURI ARRESTED

  • PROCLAMATION ALSO ISSUED IN A CASE OF ROBBERY OF PS ASHOK VIHAR
  • BAILABLE WARRANT WAS ALSO ISSUED IN A CASE OF ARMS ACT OF PS SULTANPURI
  • ACCUSED HAS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 10 HENIOUS CASES OF ROBBERY, SNATCHING AND ARMS ACT ETC.
In a significant breakthrough, the Crime Branch, Northern Range-I, has successfully apprehended a desperate Proclaimed Offender (PO) namely Harish s/o Bhagwaan Dass, r/o Sultanpuri Delhi, Age-32 years wanted in Case FIR No. 08/19 , u/s- 356/379/34 IPC,  PS- Mangolpuri, Delhi. The accused was declared PO, by the hon’ble court of Ms. Reetika Jain, Ld. JMFC, Rohini Court, Delhi vide order dated 12/11/2024. The accused also wanted in two other cases of PS Ashok Vihar & Sultanpuri. 
INFORMATION & OPERATION: 
On August 25, 2025, the Crime Branch, Northern Range-I, demonstrated its commitment to public safety by successfully arresting one notorious criminal and Proclaimed Offender (PO) namely Harish s/o Bhagwaan Dass, R/o E Block, Sultanpuri Delhi, wanted in three cases of snatching, robbery and Arms Act of different Police Stations.
The NR-1, Crime Branch team has been entrusted with the task of apprehending individuals involved in the above-mentioned cases. Thereupon, a team led by Insp. Pukhraj Singh comprising ASI Pawan, HC Pawan, HC Sachin, HC Narender, Ct Manoj, HC Harjeet & HC Mukesh under the overall supervision of Sh. Ashok Sharma ACP/NR-I Crime Branch, was constituted by Sh. Harsh Indora, IPS, DCP/Crime Branch to nab the accused person.
During this, on 25.08.2025, a crucial tip off was received by HC Harjeet of NR-I, Crime Branch, Delhi, regarding location of accused Harish near the Rohini Court, Sector-14, Rohini, Delhi. Accordingly, at the instance of the informer, the team laid a good trap and detained the accused Harish from near Rohini Court, Sector-14, Rohini, Delhi and after interrogation accused was arrested at office NR-1, Crime Branch, Rohini, Delhi.
INCIDENT: 
On 04/01/2019, the complainant Sanjay Rathor, was going to his house at R Block Mangolpuri, Delhi from his duty at Hadsan Lane Vijay Nagar, Delhi by motorcycle.  When he reached at West Enclave, Delhi the accused along with his associates snatched his bag containing some documents and mobile phone and ran away. Accordingly, a case was registered and investigation taken up. During investigation accused Sanjay Rathor was arrested and sent to JC. During trial of the case, accused was granted bail by the court but he never appeared before the court and later on, accused was declared PO by the hon’ble court of Ms. Reetika Jain, Ld. JMFC, Rohini Court, Delhi vide order dated 12/11/2024.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED: 
Accused belongs to poor family and due to his poor condition he studied upto 6th standard and became a smack addict. He is survived with 4 sisters (all married) and mother in his family. He used to do labour work for his livelihood in addition to snatching robbery etc.
