CRIME BRANCH ARRESTS ONE ABSCONDING CRIMINAL WANTED IN A SENSATIONAL CASE OF MURDER OF PS BINDAPUR & PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN CASE OF ABDUCTION FOR RANSOM AND ROBBERY OF PS VIKAS PURI, DELHI.

INTRODUCTION:
The team of WR-II/Crime Branch has arrested one absconding criminal who was wanted in a murder case of PS Bindapur, Delhi from Katewara Village, Delhi. The Criminal has been identified as Ashad @ Arshad S/o Mohd Majid R/o H. No. A-1/135 Bharat Vihar, Rajapuri, Delhi, Age 20 years. Accused Ashad was wanted in murder of one Kuldeep Singh r/o Bindapur, Delhi and in this regard a case was registered vide FIR No. 518/2025 dated 18.08.2025, u/s 103(1)/109(1)/3(5) BNS, PS Bindapur, Delhi. After committing the offence, the accused went into hiding and frequently changed his locations to evade arrest and avoid the due process of law.
BRIEF FACTS OF INCIDENT:
The murder case was registered on the complaint of one Bunty r/o Bhagwati Vihar, Uttam Nagar, Delhi. He has alleged that on 17.08.2025, his uncle namely Kuldeep Singh had a quarrel with one Ritik @ Dancer and Munna. Ritik @ Dancer and Munna along with 2-3 persons started beating Kuldeep Singh and complainant Bunty. Ritik @ Dancer took a knife from his associate and stabbed Kuldeep Singh in the chest. The victim was taken to BM Gupta Hospital where he was declared brought dead. 
During the investigation, the police scanned CCTV footage along the route taken by the accused persons. The Local Police arrested Pawan and Munna. However, remaining accused persons are on the run.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:
 On 01/09/2025, a secret information was received to SI Anuj Chhikara that one fugitive criminal namely Ashad @ Arshad, who is wanted in a murder case of Bindapur would come to Katewara Village to meet his associates.  
A team comprising of SI Anuj Chikara, ASI Shree Om, HC Ravinder Singh and HC Pramod Kumar under the close supervision of Insp Pawan Singh and over all guidance of Sh. Rajpal Dabas, ACP/WR-II was constituted by Sh. Harsh Indora, IPS, DCP/Crime Branch to nab the criminal. Team members HC Ravinder and SI Anuj Chikara mounted technical surveillance and zeroed the location of the accused. Accordingly, on 01.09.25, a trap was laid by the team at Katewara Village, Delhi and accused was apprehended.  
CASE WORKED OUT:  
• FIR No. 518/2025 dated 18.08.2025 u/s 103(1)/109(1)/3(5) BNS PS Bindapur, Delhi. 
PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT:
• FIR No. 189/2025 dated 20.05.2025 u/s 309(4)/140(3)/3(5) BNS PS Vikaspuri, Delhi. 
In this case, Complainant Ajay Kumar alleged that on the intervening night of 19/20.05.2025, while he was returning home to Tilak Nagar in his Hyundai Accent car, he was intercepted near Gujranwala Apartments by a group of five assailants, three on a scooty and two on a motorcycle. The culprits forcefully stopped his car, dragged him out, and brutally assaulted him with fists and blows. One of them then drove away with the victim’s car while the rest fled from the scene. A robbery case vide FIR No. 189/2025 u/s 309(4)/140(3)/3(5) BNS Act was registered at PS Vikaspuri. The incident caused widespread panic among local residents, disturbing the peace and raising serious concerns over public safety. He was arrested on 06.08.25 in this case by AGS, Crime Branch. 
INTERROGATION AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED:
During sustained interrogation, Ashad @ Arshad admitted his involvements in above mentioned cases and he studied up to 12th standard from Government school. He is the eldest among his siblings and remained unmarried. After developing a drinking habit and falling into bad company, he started indulging in criminal activities to sustain his addiction. In an attempt to escape legal consequences, he took up work as a salesman in a garment shop in Uttam Nagar while frequently changing mobile numbers and locations to evade arrest.
