Grand launch of National Media Register by Working Journalists of India

"Working Journalists of India" is a leading organization of media workers. This organization has more than 30,000 members across India. This organization is associated with Bharatiya Mazdoor. This organization was launched in 2017. All the members can increase cooperation in each other's work by increasing contact among themselves and can also help when needed. In its journey of 8 years, this organization has taken steps in the interest of journalists in difficult circumstances, the main among them is to put media workers in the category of journalists. Creating a digital platform of journalists working here and there in India so that there is an easy facility to contact journalists across the country. To fulfill this objective, Working Journalists of India organized the launch ceremony of National Media Register in the auditorium of Haryana Bhawan located at Mandi House, New Delhi on Friday 29 August 2025. This ceremony was presided over by WJI National General Secretary Narendra Bhandari. WJI Vice President Sanjay Upadhyay, special guest senior journalists C.M. Pappai, Surendra Kumar, Manoj Mishra, Parmanand Pandey, Gyanendra, Parthasarathi Thapliyal were present on the stage with him. At the beginning of the function, the guests were introduced and welcomed. Recently, a new team of the Delhi unit of Working Journalists of India was formed. This team was announced and introduced in this function. The names of the members of the Delhi unit of Working Journalists of India are- Senior journalists Alok Gaur and Varunendra Kathuria in the advisory board, National Advisor- Surendra Kumar and Maharashtra Advisor- Devendra Panwar were also introduced. Delhi Unit President- Sandeep Sharma, Vice Presidents- Dharmendra Bhadoria, Swatantra Singh Bhullar, and Ish Malik, General Secretary- Devendra Tomar, Organization Minister Sunil Parihar, Secretary Mahesh Dhoundiyal, Rajesh Khanna, Mahendra Kumar and Sandeep Sharma. Treasurer-Ashok Saxena, Co-Treasurer-Preetpal Singh, Organization Minister Sunil Parihar, Media Secretary Imtiaz Ahmed, Publicity Secretary Jagjit. All of them were introduced and honored in the function.

All the journalists present were eagerly waiting to see the launch of the National Media Register. The National Media Register was launched through digital medium with great enthusiasm. Everyone expressed their happiness with applause. National General Secretary Narendra Bhandari highlighted the importance of the National Media Register. He said that the names, addresses and all the information related to the work of journalists from all over India will be available in this register. From August 30, all journalists will be able to give their information in it on the website. He introduced and honored Tirthankar Sarkar, the head of the technical team that created the National Media Register.

On this occasion, Tirthankar Sarkar gave extensive information about the National Media Register. He said that information will be available in 12 languages ??on this website. National General Secretary Bhandari introduced Tirthankar Sarkar, the head of the team that created the National Media Register, and his team and praised their work. On this occasion, many journalists expressed their views praising the National Media Register. Senior journalist Parmanand Pandey appreciated the launch of the National Media Register and congratulated WJI. Expressing his views, he said that the time of print media is over. Digital media has changed the direction of journalism. In the coming times, the form and form of journalism will change. Preparations should be made for it from now itself. This register will prove to be very useful.

Senior journalist Manoj Mishra said that starting a National Register of information related to journalists is an important thing. It should be widely publicized so that the idea can reach the government. Senior journalist CM Pappai said that the thought that led to starting the National Media Register is important. He has had a long experience. The point at which journalism has reached is worth thinking about. The life of journalists has become difficult. What is the news of the class that gives information about others? It is difficult to understand this.
