FAKE PARA COMMANDO LIEUTENANT NABBED BY TEAM PS FARSH BAZAR, SHAHDARA DISTRICT IN DELHI: DUPED WOMAN OF ?70,000 WITH PROMISE OF MARRIAGE, ARMY UNIFORM & FAKE ID SEIZED

INCIDENT:
On 01.09.2025, a PCR Call was received vide DD No. 80-A at PS Farsh Bazar through which one Ms. Damini r/o Bhola Nath Nagar, Farsh Bazar, Age 28 years alleged that one person namely has cheated her by impersonating as a Lieutenant in Indian Army on the pretext of getting married to her. 
TEAM AND INVESTIGATION:
Immediately, on receipt of the PCR Call, a team of PS Farsh Bazar comprising of SI Vinay No. D-3624, ASI Shiv Kumar Solanki No. 3203/Shd and Ct. Vikrant No. 2112/Shd led by Insp. Ajay Karan Sharma, SHO/Farsh Bazar under supervision of Sh.Sanjay Kumar ACP/Shahdara, was formed and facts were verified.
It was found that complainant Ms. Damini is running a Medical Store in Noida. She met the alleged person namely Deepanshu in a marriage through some relative, who introduced himself as a Lieutenant in Indian Army Para Commando Force. They started meeting each other and he met her several times in Army uniform. Later he asked her  money on some pretext and she gave him money several times amounting to around 70,000/- rupees in cash as well as Online transaction. However, she got suspicious of his truth and on 01.09.2025, when he came to meet her, she made a PCR Call to have the facts verified.
On her complaint, case FIR No.452/2025 Dt. 02.09.2025 u/s 168/204/205/318/319/340 BNS PS Farsh Bazar has been registered and the alleged person Deepanshu  r/o Sanjeev Nagar, Kanpur Age 23 years has been arested. 
INVESTIGATION AND INTERROGATION: 
On checking the mobile phone of the accused, various photographs in Para Commando uniform, Identity Card,  NDA Rank list, Appointment Letter, etc. have been found.
His father has retired as Havaldar from Army. He had appeared in NDA examination, but could not pass. He was afraid to disclose this to his family. 
He took out the NDA passout candidate list from the portal and which carried name of one Deepanshu. He showed it to his parents that he has been selected and left the house by saying that he is going to NDA Khadakwasla for training.
He stayed around Kanpur doing odd jobs. One day, he met the complainant Damini at a marriage function and told the same lie to her. 
Even the parents of accused do not know that their son has told a lie to them. 
ACCUSED:
Deepanshu s r/o Sanjeev Nagar, Kanpur Age 23 years
RECOVERY:
* One Army Lieutenant uniform 
* Fake Army Identity Card.
