GOOD WORK DONE BY THE STAFF OF POLICE STATION SADAR BAZAR, NORTH DISTRICT

• PROACTIVE PATROLLING LED TO NABBING A NOTORIOUS AUTO-LIFTER WHILE HE WAS ROAMING ON A STOLEN SCOOTY IN SEARCH OF PREY TO COMMIT CRIME.
 
• ONE SCOOTY, MAKE TVS JUPITER STOLEN FROM THE AREA OF PS SADAR BAZAR RECOVERED.
 
• HE IS PREVIOUSLY INVOVLED IN 07 CASES OF BURGLARY, HOUSE THEFT ETC. OF DIFFERENT POLICE STATIONS OF DELHI.
 
INTRODUCTION:
In order to control over the street crimes and to keep watch over the illegal activities of individuals indulged in organized crime, a dedicated police team comprising HC Sunil Kumar, HC Sandeep Yadav and Ct Naveen was working relentlessly, under the close supervision of Inspr. Sahdev Singh Tomar, SHO/PS Sadar Bazar and guidance of Ms. Vidushi Kaushik, ACP/Sub-Division, Sadar Bazar. Accordingly, the team used to conduct random picket checking during odd hours to surprise the criminals. 
 
INCIDENT & OPERATION:
On 24.08.2025, the above said police team of PS Sadar Bazar was deployed for picket duty at Kabir Mandir, Sadar Bazar, Delhi and they started conducting random vehicle checking at the picket. At about 9 PM, the team noticed a person riding on a scooty without helmet coming from Idgah Gole Chakkar side and on seeing the police staff, he tried to flee away, but the alert police team instantly sprang into the action and apprehended him along-with the scooty after a short chase. On enquiry, the apprehended person was identified as Mohd. Salman, r/o Ahata Kidara, Sadar Bazar, Delhi, age 26 years. On questioning, he could not give proper answer about his presence in the area during odd hours and he also failed to produce any document for the ownership of the scooty being ridden by him. Further, on verification, the recovered scooty, make TVS Jupiter was found stolen in case E-FIR No. 011820/25 dated 29.04.2025 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS Sadar Bazar, Delhi. 
 
Accordingly, the accused Mohd. Salman, age 26 years was arrested in above said case of MVT of PS Sadar Bazar and further investigation was taken up.        
 
INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, accused Mohd. Salman disclosed that he had stolen the recovered Scooty from near Vashisth Temple, Idgah Road, Sadar Bazar about four months before and he was using the same for committing crime like snatching, theft etc. During further interrogation, it was revealed that the accused is a habitual criminal having involvement in 07 cases of Burglary, House Theft and Arms Act of different police stations of Delhi. He is illiterate and unemployed and also a drug addict. He indulged in crime to fund his daily needs for drugs and easy earnings.    
 
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:
Mohd. Salman, r/o Ahata Kidara, Sadar Bazar, Delhi, age 26 years. (Previously, he was involved in 07 cases of Burglary, House Theft and Arms Act of Police Stations Sadar Bazar, Nangloi, Bara Hindu Rao and Kashmere Gate, Delhi. He was committing crime for more than 04 years. 
 
WORKED OUT CASE:
• E-FIR No. 011820/25 dated 29.04.2025 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS Sadar Bazar, Delhi
 
RECOVERY:
• One Scooty, make TVS Jupiter.
