Successful organization of special Vedic and cultural program on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami

New Delhi. A special Vedic-Sanskrit and cultural program was organized on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami under the aegis of Arya Samaj Mandir, Jor Bagh. This program was dedicated to Indian cultural values, spiritual thoughts and the reformist approach of Arya Samaj. The program included bhajan-sandhya, Vedic havan, presentation of Sanskrit shlokas and lectures based on the life of Lord Shri Krishna and the teachings of the Gita, which provided spiritual peace and inspiration to the people present.

Addressing the devotees as the chief guest, Pravesh Verma (Cabinet Minister, Delhi Government) in his address highlighted the establishment of Arya Samaj, social reform movement, the message of returning to the Vedas and the contribution of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. He described the immortal teachings given by Shri Krishna in the Gita as very relevant in today's era and said that "Gita is not just a religious text, but the biggest guide of life." While Neeraj Baisoya (MLA, Kasturba Nagar) praised the efforts of Arya Samaj to spread “truth, Vedas and Vedic life values” and praised its efforts to create awareness in the society. Prof. Sompal Shastri Ji (Former Union Minister) explained the views of Swami Dayanand Ji and said that Arya Samaj is contributing towards nation building even today. Ravindra Chaudhary (District President) said that Lord Krishna is “a combination of consciousness, ethics and deeds” and called for taking inspiration from his life. Sunil Yadav (State President, OBC Morcha, Delhi) said that the book Geeta is the biggest guide for human life. LR was the main speaker in the programme. Panchal – Pradhan, Arya Samaj Jor Bagh, Mrs. Alpana Vyas – Minister, Arun Kapoor – Treasurer, Rohit Raj Verma – Vice Pradhan, Kartar Singh – Deputy Minister, Sudhir Verma Program Coordinator, Harbans Dunkal – Former Delhi State Vice President, Aditya Mishra Media Incharge, Arya Samaj Jor Bagh and other dignitaries, scholars, social workers, women, youth, and media representatives were also present in large numbers. Vedic Havan, Bhajan Sandhya, Sanskrit Shloka recitation, speech and distribution of Prasad were also done in the grand program.
