Jhabua Excise Department's big action Thandla seized about 5000 kg of Mahua Lahan

In compliance with the instructions given by Collector Neha Meena and Deputy Commissioner Divisional Flying Squad Indore Sanjay Tiwari for continuous action to prevent the sale of illegal liquor in Jhabua district, under the direction of District Excise Officer Jhabua Mrs. Basanti Bhuria, a joint team of Excise duly searched the residential houses behind Rajapura Bus Stand in Excise Circle Thandla and seized about 5000 kg of Mahua Lahan and destroyed it after taking samples.

Cases were registered against the accused under Section 34(1)(g) of Madhya Pradesh Excise Act 1915. The estimated market value of the said seized Mahua Lahan is Rs. 5,00,000/-. The above action was carried out under the guidance of Assistant District Excise Officer Devendra Chandel, Excise Sub Inspector Vikas Verma, Yogesh Dama, Aklesh Solanki, Prem Singh Parmar and Excise staff with significant contribution. The action of the Excise Department against illegal sale and illegal transportation of liquor in the district will continue.
