ANOTHER GANGSTER ARRESTED; ILLEGAL ARMS SYNDICATE UNEARTHED IN FOLLOW-UP INVESTIGATION

? TWO (02) COUNTRY-MADE PISTOLS & TWENTY (20) LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED.

? THE ARRESTED GANGSTER IS AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF HASIM BABA GANG AND A CLOSE AIDE OF JAILED GANGSTER YOGESH BHATI.

INTRODUCTION:-

This arrest comes after the last month’s successful bust by Cyber Cell of Crime branch, wherein a gangster, Kapil @ Ghoda, an active member of the Hashim Baba Gang, was arrested, and a significant cache of illegal weapons, including 2 BERETTA semiautomatic pistols, was recovered. The new arrest is a result of the ongoing investigation stemming from the interrogation of Kapil, subsequent police remand and detailed interrogation of jailed gangster Yogesh Bhati, who revealed that the network's operations were coordinated from inside prison.

In this major follow-up development, Cyber Cell/Crime Branch has arrested another dreaded criminal Gautam @ Golu R/o Rampura, Delhi on the instance of jailed gangster Yogesh Bhati, further exposing a broader illegal arms syndicate operating across Delhi/NCR. Two (02) country-made pistols and twenty (20) live cartridges were recovered from his possession.

In continuation of investigation in case FIR No. FIR No. 189/2025, U/s 25/54/59, PS Crime Branch. On 01.08.2025, accused Yogesh Bhati S/o Sheoraj, R/o PS Dadri, U.P., Age 43 years was taken on 2 days’ remand from Hon’ble court to unearth the nexus. During sustained custodial interrogation by the team of Insp Sandeep Singh, he disclosed the existence of a larger network of illegal arms suppliers. He revealed that his associate Gautam @ Golu was keeping arms at his residence in Delhi.

Acting on this input, in a midnight raid, a team of Cyber Cell, Crime Branch, led by Inspector Sandeep Singh, comprising SI Arjun, HC Anand, HC Mohit and Ct. Ashish, under the supervision of ACP Anil Sharma, apprehended Gautam @ Golu from his residence in Rampura, Delhi. On search of his house, 2 country-made pistols and 20 live cartridges were recovered.

INTERROGATION:

During interrogation, accused Gautam @ Golu disclosed that he has been closely working with gangster Yogesh Bhati and facilitating the supply of illegal arms in Delhi/NCR. Verification of his antecedents revealed his involvement in a sensational armed robbery of ?2 lakh from a financer in the jurisdiction of PS Sarai Rohilla.

The latest arrest of Gautam @ Golu marks a significant step in dismantling the illegal arms syndicate being run by Hashim Baba Gang members.
