TWO NOTORIOUS ROBBERS INCLUDING AN AUTO DRIVER, WHO TARGETTED THEIR PASSENGER AND ROBBED HIS E-WALLET AMOUNT RS. 20,000/- ARRESTED BY THE TEAM PS BURARI, NORTH DISTRICT

• THE AUTO DRIVER AND HIS ASSOCIATE WERE IDENTIFIED WITH THE HELP OF TECHNICAL ANALYSIS 
• THEY USED TO TARGET THE GULLIBLE PASSENGERS BOARDED IN THEIR AUTO
• CASH RS. 10,000/- RECOVERED AND AUTO (TSR) USED IN COMMISSION OF ROBBERY SEIZED. 
 
BRIEF FACTS OF INCIDENT:
On 12.08.2025, a PCR call of robbery was received at PS Burari, wherein the victim namely Vikas, r/o Distt. Samastipur, Bihar, age 22 years, reported that he had come to Delhi for the first time. On 12.08.2025 at around 05:45 AM, he took an Auto from outside ISBT Kashmere Gate for going to Tikri Border to meet his relative after fixing the fare for Rs. 150/-.  One passenger was already seated in that Auto. The auto driver took him to Burari-Mukundpur Service Road and told him that his destination has been reached and when the victim Vikas de-boarded from the auto and giving the payment through UPI scanner, both TSR driver and another person snatched his mobile phone, asked for the password by threatening him and got transferred Rs. 20,000/- from his e-wallet and then, both of them fled away from the spot in the TSR.
 
Immediately, a case FIR No. 742/25 dated 12.08.2025 u/s 309(4)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Burari and the investigation was taken up accordingly. 
 
TEAM, INVESTIGATION & OPERATION:
Keeping in view the seriousness of case, a dedicated police team comprising ASI Sudhir, ASI Jayprakash, ASI Kailash, HC Rahish, HC Sachin, HC Surender, HC Sandeep was formed, under the close supervision of Inspr. Girish Chandra, SHO/PS Burari and guidance of Shri Shashi Kant Gaur, ACP/Sub-Division, Burari, Delhi. 
 
During investigation, the team analyzed the footages of several CCTV cameras installed nearby the place of incident and vicinity, wherein two persons were seen on an Auto/TSR. The forward and backward routes of the culprits were chased with the help of CCTV cameras and on analysis, clear faces of the accused persons were found captured. The photographs of the accused persons were shared with the secret informers for identification. The technical assistance was also conducted and the location of mobile phone in which Rs. 20000/- were transferred through e-wallet by the accused persons was zeroed in at 60 Foota Road, near Mukundpur under Flyover. Finally, the consistent efforts of the team led to the apprehension of one of the accused persons identified as Yogesh, age 25 years within few hours. 
 
INTERROGATION: 
During interrogation, accused Yogesh, disclosed that he along with his associate Mohd. Ali used to drive an auto (TSR) primarily during night hours and used to target the gullible passengers on cheap fares and after reaching the isolated places, they robbed of the cash and belongings of the passengers. On August 12, 2025, he and his associate, Mohd. Ali, were waiting for passengers near ISBT, Kashmere Gate. In the early morning hours, they picked up a passenger for Tikri Border. While driving him to his destination, they noticed that the passenger was not familiar with Delhi. They took him to Burari-Mukundpur Service Road and robbed him of his money. The duo had withdrawn Rs. 20,000 from an ATM booth at Jahangirpuri and shared the amount equally between themselves.
 
The mobile phone, to which the amount was transferred, and the auto/TSR used in the crime were seized, along with the recovery of part of the robbed amount, Rs. 10,000. 
 
Subsequently, based on information provided by accused Yogesh, multiple raids were conducted at potential hideouts of his co-accused. Finally, in the night of August 15-16, 2025, sincere efforts by the team led to the arrest of co-accused, Mohd. Ali, a resident of Wazirabad, Delhi. During interrogation, he also admitted his involvement in the robbery case and corroborated the version given by his associate, Yogesh.
 
The investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are going on to affect the recovery of remaining robbed money.
 
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:
1. Yogesh, r/o 60 Futa Road, Mukundpur Part-II, Delhi, age 25 years. He has studied upto 10thstandard, but fell in bad company and started consuming liquor and drugs. He has been indulged in committing crime with his associate Mohd. Ali to fulfill the needs for drugs and to live a lavish lifestyle. He was previously found involved in a case of Robbery of PS Mandawali, Delhi, and he was released from jail about 03 months ago and again started to commit crime.  
2. Mohd. Ali, r/o Sangam Vihar, Wazirabad, Delhi, age 29 years is a school dropout. Due to poor financial condition of his family, he fell in bad company and started consuming liquor and drugs. He has been indulged in committing crime with the association of accused Yogesh to fulfill his need for drugs and to live a lavish lifestyle. Previously he was found involved in a case of Robbery of PS Mandawali, Delhi and he was released from jail about 03 months ago and again started to commit crime.
 
RECOVERY:
1. Cash Rs. 10,000/- 
2. One Mobile Phone, make Vivo-V27, wherein the robbed amount was transferred. 
3. One Auto/TSR, used in commission of offence.(Owned by the father of accused Yogesh).
