A BAIL JUMPER CRIMINAL DECLARED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN TWO SEPARATE CASES, ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF PS KASHMERE GATE, NORTH DISTRICT

A CRIMINAL EVADING COURT PROCEEDINGS IN 02 CASES SINCE LONG DECLARED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER ARRESTED ON THE BASIS OF SECRET TIP OFF.
HE WAS DECLARED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN TWO SEPARATE CASES OF NIGHT BURGLARY AND HOUSE THEFT OF POLICE STATIONS TILAK NAGAR AND ASHOK VIHAR, DELHI RESPECTIVELY.

TEAM, INFORMATION & OPERATION:

As a part of ongoing Special Drive to apprehend the Proclaimed Offenders initiated by PS Kashmere Gate of North District, a dedicated team was reconstituted led by SI Umesh Kumar, comprising ASI Dipender and HC Rajeev Kumar, under the close supervision of Inspr. Prashant Yadav, SHO/PS Kashmere Gate, Delhi and guidance of Shri Shanker Banerjee, ACP/Sub-Division, Kotwali, Delhi.

The team was working relentlessly to collect information about proclaimed offenders who had evaded court appearances. Through diligent efforts, the team sensitized local informers and gathered human intelligence, which finally yielded remarkable results and on 12.08.2025, a secret information was received by SI Umesh Kumar that a bail jumper, who is also a proclaimed offender in two cases of PS Tilak Nagar and Ashok Vihar would come to meet someone near Gate No. 3, Metro Station, Kashmere Gate.

Acting swiftly, the team, aided by human intelligence and technical surveillance rushed the place of information and laid a strategic trap. Their efforts ultimately led successful apprehension of the proclaimed offender identified as Jai Bahadur, age 55 years, r/o Village Budhapur, Kaushambhi, Uttar Pradesh, on 12.08.2025.

PROCLAMATION:

During sustained enquiry and verification through police records, the apprehended accused Jai Bahadur was found to be declared Proclaimed Offender (PO) in two separate cases i.e. (1) in case FIR No. 119/2016 u/s 457/480/411 IPC, PS Tilak Nagar, Delhi by Hon’ble M.M. Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi vide order dated 05.09.2018 and (2) in case FIR No. 19/2016 u/s 380/411/34 IPC, PS Ashok Vihar, Delhi by the Hon’ble CJM, Rohini Courts, Delhi vide order dated 16.07.2025.

Accordingly, he was arrested u/s 35.1(D) BNSS at PS Kashmere Gate, Delhi.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:

Jai Bahadur, r/o Village Budhapur, Kaushambhi, Uttar Pradesh, age 55 years. His native Village is Dell-Chainpur, District Bhajang, Nepal. He recently came to Delhi from his native place and he was living on rent basis in the area of Kaushambhi, U.P. He was previously found involved in 03 cases of Night Burglary and House Theft of Police Stations, Tilak Nagar, Ashok Vihar and Bawana, Delhi.
