Twin murder case solved by teams of PS Dayalpur, PS Khajuri Khas and Spl. Staff/NED. Four accused persons arrested.

On 11.08.2025, in the morning hours, information regarding a person lying in Gali No. 26, C-Block, was received at PS Khajuri Khas. Police team along with forensic experts, processed the crime scene, collected exhibits, and sent the body of the deceased to GTB Hospital for post-mortem examination. The deceased was identified as Raji Ahmed (33 years), S/o Mohd. Barik, R/o Khajuri Khas.

Accordingly, a case under Section 103(1) BNS was registered at PS Khajuri Khas and multiple teams were deployed to trace and arrest the accused involved in the crime.

Multiple, deployed teams worked immensely and identified the suspected accused involved in murder. Meanwhile, in the afternoon, of 12.08.2025, decomposed body of an unidentified male person was recovered from a locked kitchen on the first floor of a house in New Chauhanpur. The body was shifted to GTB Hospital for PME after forensic examination of the spot leading to registration of a case under Section 103(1) BNS at PS Dayalpur. Considering the gravity of offence, Special Staff/NE District was also roped in. Through continued technical surveillance, analysis of CCTV footage, and local intelligence, the deceased was identified as Shami Alam (37 years), S/o Mohd. Sharif, R/o Loni, UP.

During investigation of both the cases it is found that both the cases are connected, as Raji Ahmad and Shami Alam are brother in laws and on further investigation teams found that suspected accused are similar in both the murders.

On further course of investigation, the teams arrested two accused persons:

1. Vickey Tomar (24 years), S/o Kishan Tomar, R/o Sonia Vihar, Delhi

2. Ashfaq (19 years), S/o Late Sagir, R/o Loni, UP

On sustained interrogation, the arrested persons confessed to their involvement and disclosed that on the fateful night they, along with the deceased Shami Alam, his brother-in-law Rajji, and two other persons, had gathered for a party at the said kitchen in Dayalpur which was taken on rent by Raji. During party, Raji asked them to recover the amount he had loaned to Shami Alam and left from there. During the recovery process, the group assaulted Shami Alam, resulting in his death. Thereafter, they locked the body inside the kitchen and fled the spot.

Both crime scenes were processed with help of crime and FSL team, exhibits related with crime have been collected.

Meanwhile, another team of PS Khajuri Khas, through rigorous efforts, arrested two accused involved in the murder of Raji Ahmed. They were identified as:

1. Faizaan @ Khali (22 years), S/o Md. Muneem, R/o Loni, UP

2. Mohd. Masoom @ Chotu (25 years), S/o Md. Firoz, R/o Loni, UP

During interrogation, they revealed that after murdering Shami Alam in Dayalpur, they proceeded to Khajuri, fearing that Raji might reveal their involvement to the police, they conspired and murdered Raji as well to cover up their crime.

Further investigation in both cases is underway.
