TWO DESPERATE ROBBERS/SNATCHERS ARRESTED BY JOINT TEAM OF OPERATIONS CELL AND PS SAFDURJUNG ENCLAVE/SWD

A SENSATIONAL ROBBERY CASE WITH SENIOR CITIZEN LADY DOCTOR SOLVED.

ACCUSED IDENTIFIED AFTER ANALYSING OVER 500 CCTV CAMERAS IN MORE THAN 700 KM FROM THE SPOT/INCIDENT COVERING 8 DISTRICTS OF DELHI, PUNJAB AND UP.

SIX GOLD CHAINS, ONE GOLD HOOK OF CHAIN, ONE STOLEN APACHE BIKE, ONE BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 BIKE USED FOR COMMITTING CRIMES & CLOTHES WORN AT THE TIME OF CRIME RECOVERED.

TOTAL 7 CASES OF ROBBERY, SNATCHING AND AUTO THEFT WORKED OUT.

ACCUSED DANISH @ CHINTU IS BC OF PS PUL PRAHLADPUR AND PREVIOULSY INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 40 CASES OF MURDER, ROBBERY, SNATCHING ETC. HE IS ALSO GANGESTER AND OPERTING GANG IN THE NAME OF CHINTU GANG.

ACCUSED ASHISH TANEJA @ BHATIJA IS ABSENT BC OF PS TILAK NAGAR AND PREVIOULSY INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 14 CASES OF MURDER, ROBBERY, SNATCHING ETC.

The joint team of Operations Cell and PS Safdurjung Enclave, South West District had arrested two desperate & habitual criminals namely Danish @ Chintu R/o Pul Prahladpur, Delhi, age 32 years and Ashish Taneja @ Bhatija R/o Shahpura, Tilak Nagar, Delhi, age 26 years. With their arrest, two robbed gold chains, four snatched gold chains, one gold hook & one stolen Apache motorcycle used for committing crime recovered from their possession/instance.

INCIDENT, TEAM AND ARRESTED:

On 25.07.2025, a robbery case vide FIR No. 285/25, u/s 309(6)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi on the statement of Dr SA wherein she stated that on 25/07/25 at about 03:00 PM while she was standing on the side of her car near Green field School, Safdarjung, Delhi, two persons came on a bike, robbed her gold chain after pushing her near Green field School, Safdarjung, Delhi and fled. Same day another case of snatching vide FIR No. 584/25, u/s 304(2)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Mukharjee Nagar, Delhi. On analyzing of CCTV footages, it was established that the offenders are the same in both incidents.

To solve the case, a dedicated team comprising SI Kamal Kant, SI Pankaj Lamba, HC Anil, HC Narender, HC Shish Ram, HC Dilip, HC Rajkumar, HC Mukesh, HC Sandeep, HC Sanwata Ram, Ct Sandeep, Ct Sunny and Ct Bablu was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Hari Singh, I/C Anti-Snatching Cell/SWD and under the close supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh, ACP/Operations/SWD to nab the culprits. The team developed local intelligence, and obtained actionable inputs about the involvement of the accused persons. The accused persons were observed using motorcycle and employing various deceptive tactics to evade capture in CCTV footage.

They moved through Nirankari Colony → Burari → ISBT → Hanuman Mandir → Geeta Colony Flyover → Laxmi Nagar → Sukharpur → Akshardham Mandir → NH24 Meerut Expressway → Pandav Nagar where they took a U-turn on the expressway, then turned left towards Noida, crossed Mayur Vihar border, entered Noida via Mahamaya Flyover, and re-entered Delhi via Kalindi Kunj border.

The team conducted an extensive technical investigation and analyzed more than 500 CCTV cameras cameras in more than 70 km from the spot/incident covering 8 districts of Delhi and Noida UP. Based on specific intelligence and manual surveillance, accused Danish @ Chintu R/o Pul Prahladpur, Delhi, age 32 years was arrested from Pul Prahladpur area and from his possession 4 robbed/snatched gold chains and one bike used in crime was recovered. Further on his instance, stolen bike used in crime was also recovered. During interrogation, he disclosed about involvement of accused Ashish Taneja @ Bhatija R/o Shahpura, Tilak Nagar, Delhi, age 26 years in above said robbery case. On the basis of CDR’s and other technical analysis, accused Ashish Taneja was apprehended from Ludhiana, Punjab after chasing more than 700 KM. From his possession and on his instance, 2 gold chains, one gold hook of chain & cloths wore at the time of crime recovered.

Upon sustained interrogation, the accused persons admitted their involvement in the above-mentioned cases. They used stolen racer bikes for committing the crime. One stolen Apache Bike & one Bajaj Dominar D-400 used for the crime/evading were recovered.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:

1. Accused Danish @ Chintu R/o Pul Prahladpur, Delhi, age 32 years is BC of PS Pul Prahladpur. He is previously involved in more than 40 cases of Murder, robbery, snatching, Arms Act. He came out of jail on 27.02.2025. He used to commit robbery and chain snatching and also purchased snatched gold chains in low price to earn quick money. He has been operating a gang in the name of Chintu Gang and used to take protection money from drug suppliers, bookies, parking & auto stands etc.

2. Accused Ashish Taneja @ Batija R/o Shahpura, Tilak Nagar, Delhi, age 26 years is previously involved in more than 14 cases of dacoity, robbery, snatching, Arms Act including two cases of murder. He is BC Of PS Tilak Nagar and came out of jail on 29.04.2025. He used to commit robbery and chain snatching to earn quick money.

4. Clothes worn at the time of committing crimes

5. One Bajaj Dominar D-400 bike used for evading.
