Delegation of Working Journalist of India meets Delhi Government Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa

A delegation of Working Journalist of India (WJI) today met Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister for Environment, Transport, Gurdwara Elections, Minority Affairs and Gurmat Education in Delhi Government. During this, many problems, challenges and their solutions related to the journalists of Delhi were discussed in detail.

The delegation especially mentioned the efforts of the government in the matter of old vehicles in Delhi, as a result of which the court has recently provided significant relief. This relief has brought great convenience not only to the people of Delhi but also to the journalists who are constantly in the field.

WJI appreciated the steps taken by the Delhi Government for environmental protection under the leadership of Minister Sirsa. The delegation said that journalists will cooperate with the government in every possible way to save the environment while fulfilling the responsibility of society and democracy.

Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa listened to the delegation seriously and with ease. He said that “Journalists are the fourth pillar of democracy, and the Delhi government will consider their problems with sensitivity. The government will ensure that the problems faced by them in their work are resolved on priority basis.”

This delegation included National President Sanjay Upadhyay, National General Secretary Narendra Bhandari, Delhi State President Sandeep Sharma, Delhi State General Secretary Devendra Tomar, Narendra Dhawan, Sunil Parihar and Ish Malik Swatantra Singh Bhullar and Kamal Jeet Singh, senior photo journalists.
