Kameng Kings unveil jersey and logo with TNR Mohit

A wonderful amalgamation of culture, passion and cricketing fervour was witnessed as Kameng Kings officially unveiled their team jersey and logo ahead of their debut in the Techi Tagar Arunachal T20 Championship. The celebrations also saw the team introduce their rising star TNR Mohit – a young spin bowler who has emerged as the hope for Arunachal Pradesh’s cricketing future. The tournament will be held from September 1 to September 16 at Mangaldai Cricket Ground, Guwahati.

The team representing the Kameng region, Kameng Kings, will compete against eight strong teams in this prestigious cricket league of Arunachal Pradesh. The event was attended by dignitaries, media representatives and cricket enthusiasts from across the region.

The key guests present included:

• Nabam Vivek, MLA and Honorary Secretary of Arunachal Cricket Association (ARCA), who is a strong proponent of sports policy and youth development in the state.

• Geda Kabak, Vice President of ARCA, who has played a key role in promoting cricket at the district level and nurturing young talent.

The centrepiece of the event was TNR Mohit, who had a stellar season in first-class cricket for Arunachal Pradesh, taking 19 wickets, including a 9-wicket haul on debut against Sikkim. His calm and consistent performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy also caught everyone's attention.

“Wearing the Kameng Kings jersey is not just about playing cricket — it's about representing the hopes of an entire region,” Mohit said.

“That 9-wicket debut was special, but I am even more excited about what we will achieve with the team this season. It was a proud moment for me to make my debut under Nabam Abo's captaincy.”

Mr. Arvind Tadkamalla, Principal Sponsor of the franchise said,

“Supporting Kameng Kings is not just a sponsorship — it is an investment in the youth power and future of Arunachal.”

Apart from Mohit’s inspirational journey, the event underlined the team’s objective — to inspire, unite and take Arunachal cricket to greater heights, all with humility and team spirit.

With a perfect blend of talent, leadership and community support, Kameng Kings are set to make their mark in the cricket landscape of Northeast India.
