WANTED NARCO-OFFENDER ARRESTED BY ANTF (CRIME BRANCH)

ONGOING ANTF CRACKDOWN: ARREST PART OF SUSTAINED DRIVE AGAINST FUGITIVES, PAROLE JUMPERS, AND BAIL EVADERS.
BIG SUPPLIER CAUGHT: TUFAN SINGH SUPPLIED CRUDE/RAW CHEMICALS AND TRAINED CO-ACCUSED ZAHID IN HEROIN MANUFACTURING.
PROCLAIMED OFFENDER ACTION: ACCUSED WAS ON THE RUN; NBWS ISSUED AND 82 CR.P.C. PROCEEDINGS INITIATED ON 08.02.2024.

INTRODUCTION:-

The Government of India is vigorously pursuing the policy of 'Zero Tolerance' against Narcotics drugs and the same is being sincerely implemented by the ANTF, Crime Branch of the Delhi Police.

A long pursued operation by the sleuths of ANTF, Crime Branch finally culminated with the arrest of Tufan Singh @ Dale Singh, aged about 39 years, a notorious narco-offender who was wanted in an NDPS case of ANTF, Crime Branch, Delhi registered vide FIR No. 65/23 u/s 21/25/29 NDPS Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi.

BACKGROUND OF THE CASE:-

On 12.03.2023, acting on secret tip, the ANTF team apprehended Mohd. Zahid (29), r/o Vijay Park, Maujpur, Delhi after recovery of 500 gms heroin from his possession. Moreover, 4.5 kg heroin, 3.4 kg suspected mixing powder, 0.935 kg ammonia solution, 5.562 kg colour, 6 Avil vials, weighing and currency-counting machines, cash Rs. 25,800/- and other items were recovered from his house during search. During further investigation some more arrests were made in this case. Also, Zahid had admitted sourcing of crude/opium poppy extract and chemicals from suppliers of Mandsaur (MP) and Bhawani Mandi (Rajasthan). Thereafter, multiple raids were conducted to apprehend the source but they remained at large.

The accused remained absconded, hence NBW was issued and proceedings under Section 82 Cr.P.C. were initiated against him to declare him a proclaimed offender.

DETAILS OF CURRENT OPERATION:-

On 30.07.2025, a specific information was received by HC Sohan Pal, ANTF, Crime Branch that source Toofan Singh was available in the area. The information was shared with senior officers and a secret action plan to arrest the accused Tufan Singh @ Dale Singh was made out.

The police team led by Inspector Rakesh Duhan comprising of SI Vishan Kumar, ASI Sanjay Singh, HC Sohan Pal and HC Sunny immediately swung into action under the supervision of Sh. Rajkumar, ACP/ANTF (Crime Branch) & overall guidance of the undersigned.

Wasting no time, the ANTF team swiftly executed a highly coordinated raid at Shamgarh, Mandsaur, M.P. & on 31.07.2025, accused Tufan Singh @ Dale Singh s/o Late Amar Singh r/o Village Palkhanda, PS Shamgarh, Mandsaur, M.P. Age – 39 years was arrested, at the instance of secret informer.

Following his arrest, the accused was taken to the ANTF, Crime Branch Office, Daryaganj, where he was subjected to intensive interrogation. During questioning, he confessed his involvement in this case. It has been revealed that he was one of the big crude suppliers of that area and after registration of the case he become underground.

Further efforts are underway to trace out his associates.

• Education: 5th class dropout

• Background: He was drawn into criminal activities due to his association with local drug suppliers. There are some persons in his village who are authorised cultivators of Opium while some persons are indulged in illegal drug trafficking.

The successful arrest of this active Narco -offender/gangster is part of a broader initiative to track and apprehend wanted Narco-offenders, parole & bail jumpers, ensuring that individuals evading justice are held accountable for their crimes.
