Karate bench operated to teach girls the qualities of self-reliance and self-defense

Rahim Sherani Hindustani - Jhabua

As per the instructions of Collector Neha Meena and under the guidance of District Program Officer Women and Child Development Jhabua R.S. Baghel, under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, self-defense training program for girls is being organized with the cooperation of Sports and Youth Welfare Department.

In the first phase of the self-defense and karate training program, PM Shri Government Secondary High Schools of 06 development blocks Jhabua, Rotla, Ranapur, Meghnagar, Thandla and Bamnia have been selected and about 600 girls are being taught self-defense. This training will be conducted regularly for 01 month and the participants will also be given certificates. The objective of the program is to awaken interest in karate among girls as well as make them self-reliant and capable of martial arts self-defense.
